that's kind of funny. I didn't really think of that way until you said it.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Oh, man, when she went backstage and they all clapped for her thinking she was safe? Horrible. Not that that was engineered, but, man.
Oh, that was horrible. I felt so bad for her.
Yeah, I winced.
In Top Chef news, today's SF Groupon is for Iluna Basque, Mattin's restaurant.
And that's because it's part of this Bravo/Groupon promotion. Other participating "Top Chef" properties include:
· Alchemy Caterers, Washington, D.C. - owned by Carla Hall from season five
Pura Vida, Atlanta, GA - owned by Hector Santiago from season six
· Super Pan, Atlanta, GA - owned by Hector Santiago from season six
· D. Rodriguez Cuba, Miami, FL - owned by Douglas Rodriguez from "Top Chef Masters" season one
· D. Rodriguez Ocean, Miami, FL - owned by Douglas Rodriguez from "Top Chef Masters" season one
· Ola at Sanctuary, Miami, FL - owned by Douglas Rodriguez from "Top Chef Masters" season one
· The Point, Culver City, CA - owned by Mark Peel from "Top Chef Masters" season two
Stephanie Izzard's new restaurant The Girl & the Goat just opened here in Chicago. I guess she either doesn't need the business from the Groupon or just wasn't interested. She's gotten plenty of publicity, that's for sure.
It's open now? That's great.
The LTH Forum has a thread for it--go to July 11th for the first review (from a preview seating they had for friends and family). Very favorable reviews so far!
