In all fairness to Jaclyn, he'd said some pretty shitty things about her at crit. him saying that he doesn't think that she's smart enough to sabotage him was an asshole thing to say (although I happen to agree with him, he could have phrased it better).
Unfortunately, while Eric was 100% right, his manifestation of his displeasure was 100% wrong, which made him look bad. He was a bad sport at the end when Peregrine tried to be nice, and he said unkind things about Jaclyn.
Oh, Eric was definitely acting like an asshole. And I don't think he was as talented as he thought he was either, but that's why I hate a lot of these group challenges, especially in something like fine art. There's a reason there aren't more collaborations out there.
I thought that it was good that the open space woman made that point as well. Although, in fairness, there's a difference between choosing to collaborate and being thrown into a collaboration.

Well, she did call him stupid multiple times during the planning process. I really don't want to be defending either of them, but this episode made me hate Jaclyn even more than I already did.
I have a grudging respect for Jaclyn's last two individual pieces, but I think she's totally downplaying how much help and inspiration she got from other people when it came to focusing on the thing that was going to pull them together.
And then I think of her Pride and Prejudice cover with the bowler hat and the misspelled "Austin", and I want her gone all over again.

Don't remind me! That was atrocious.
I was so happy to see Prada Marfa in the beginning. Love that piece.
The chefs trying to crack the blue crabs was hilarious. And sad. So much wasted meat. And I'm wondering where on earth they got those crabs. It was not MD blue crab season AT ALL when they were filming.
I also get that choosing to use your own body, and often nude, is a valid way to make a certain statement, or explore certain themes in art. But I can't help feeling that Jaclyn does it because she can't think of anything else to do.

I think there are farmed blue crabs available year round.

I wonder if she had really gone with her original "Austin" plan (with her self-portrait photo) if they would have been tired of the concept by the time the Audi challenge came around.
