Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

okay I'm at the end of SYTYCD finally!

Let me be real for a sec:

Twitch, you are invited over for coffee (and pie!) too.

Alex, you ain't gonna tell me that you haven't been at the clubs a time or two. Alex pulled that OUT. I was so shocked. You go ahead. Man, I hope he wins this thing.

Not that anyone cares, but the cooking wine is 15% alcohol. So, basically, wine.

Adechike and Lauren/Dave Scott/Hip Hop/Hot 'n Fun - I have to cut Adechike some slack because his idol is Desmond Richardson and he's the truth. And lo and behold, the spirit of Desmond was with him tonight 'cause that's the best he's ever danced. Cute routine; intricate a d fun. Adechike showed personality and spark for the first time ever. He hit hard when he needed to, smoothed it out as appropriate. He made me not have to watch Lauren, so big props to that. Good job.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, I'm a little bit sad but I guess shock really isn't something JP does well. You know what I thought of after the fact: the original pornos - those ancient Greek decorated pottery with the v. salacious images - which are comically drawn in that classical Greek style. Kind of like Dudley Do-Right depicted doing really unexpected things. They have images of auto-fellatio, don't they?

Ashley and Ade/Dee Casperey/Contemporary/Cosmic Love - Ugh. Enough with the contemporary for this girl. However, for a second, I thought they announced the choreographer as Diddy and had that been the case, this would've automatically been my favorite SYTYCD routine of all time. Alas, it wasn't Diddy. Still, good routine. A little competition 101 hair flingy for me, but I thought it was danced beautifully. There were a couple of holds where Ashlay had her legs held straight out in front of her or was on her belly with arched back that were crazy difficult and demanded great strength and control which she delivered. And the ending was gorgeous. She still doesn't really connect for me, but I can't deny she has a great quality of movement.

Billy/Solo/Something Bigger, Something Better - Incredible. Ridiculous. Extension. Control. Passion. Abandon. Everything.

I loved Jose beyond reason. He wasn't a great dancer, but he was an incredibly strong partner. He was there for her every. second. I think that doing the yoga gives him a strong core and that's really helping him here.

The Twitch Alex routing was MON-EE. Damn! I loved the concept and the execution. But, I'd seen you tube videos of alex fooling around in different dances with his friends, so I'm not surprised that he can do hip hop. I think he's going to take it all.

Robert and Courtney/Sonya/Jazz/XXXO - Sonya has such a hard on for this kid. She does like 'em tall, dark and ripped. I was really impressed in that piece by Courtney. She tore it up. Robert was just OK. I totally got what Mia and Shankdaddy were saying. He dances very light. He reminds me of lots of competition kids, lots of flash and tricky dazzle, but there's not a lot of heft to it. The plié example, I thought, was kind of genius. Watch Robert's plié as opposed to Alex's plié. It's like Designer Imposters vs. Chanel No. 5.

Jose solo/Superbad - Eh. He's just not that great of a b-boy. When I think of the really awesome breakers they've had on the show . . . Dom and Gev and Legacy . . . Jose's nothing special compared to them.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

As a person who normally doesn't get the hip hop, I really liked Adechike's number. He was excellent, and the choreography by Dave Scott was spot on for him.

As for the Alex-Twitch number? That was awesome! Sooo glad they didn't go with the color-coded envelopes for this week's pairings. And NappyTab just knocked it out! That was definitely my favorite routine by them that I've seen on this show.

So glad that Kent got a slapdown by the judges this week. He's starting to buy the hype, and he needs to get knocked off that pedestal he's on. The dancing technique is still there for him, but he needs to stop with the wide-eyed innocent persona and become a character. I am not looking forward to seeing him do hiphop, because even if he can do the moves, he will not get the attitude needed.

Billy--pretty, but overall not memorable.

Robert--liked it lots, but not my favorite Sonya routine ever. He's definitely going for the Mark look, but he needs better technique to get there.

Jose--totally agree with the judges. Fun to watch, easy to tear apart the technique, but why ruin the fun? And he was the first guy I've seen dominate Anya this season (Robert and Kent sure couldn't).

Melinda--byebye, honey. Those feet were painful to watch in that ballroom number.

Ashley--pretty and well-danced, but again I'm failing to connect with her personally.

Lauren--I really liked it overall. She could have gone back to the toothy grin from two weeks ago, and she didn't, which was good. And she handled her torn dress with aplomb.

Melinda and Pasha/Choreographer Unknown/Salsa/Quimbara - Eewwwww. Criminal that they do salsa the week after Cristina goes home. That routine was so sloppy. The last trick, the cartwheel flip, was labored and I believe they almost missed it. Sloppy feet. Sloppy arms. Hip action not great. Yick. A little heresy here? Pasha's not a great salsa dancer either. A little too stiff backed. Now that's not surprising as salsa is probably not a dance he does very often, let alone competes in. Bit it just made for a routine where I didn't really care to watch either one of them. Now Mia and Shankdaddy think they made a mistake keeping Not So Secret Skank? Whatever.

Kent Solo/Down - He is joy. This kid just has a light inside him that's glorious. Even with the somewhat frenetic, floor routine style choreo.
