Alexie and Melinda in a Tyce Broadway - Alison and Mischa Chan are the all stars. RIP, girls. Nobody should have to get saddled with a Tasty Broadway routine right out of the gate. And of course it's another fucking Fosse ripoff. Good googly moogly, someone please school this fool. I love Fosse, too, but there is more to Broadway then hunched shoulder and pelvis. The routine was too simple. Melinda really shone. She pulled the eye. Alexie was cute, but she looked like a chorus girl, not a star.

Had a long post, lost it all. The gist was: Alex, Billy, and Robert, yes! All other S7 kids, eh. Neill is still a gymnast but less hunchback than before. Mia and Sonya, Jason and Travis, yes! NappyTab and Tasty, hell to the naw. Pasha! Mark!

That was about it.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

can't believe that no one talked about Kent's "ideal woman" he chose his mom and Beyonce. GAY. Maybe he doesn't know yet?

Watching (a bit belated, yay tivo) tonight's SYTYCD (didn't realize it was on!)

Couldn't we get, just for starters, JUST the new people? Before cluttering up the stage with the All Stars?? It made it hard to focus, sometimes.

Though it also made some things stand out. Like new salsa girl not being nearly as good as Anya. Damn, girl.

I feel very bad for Alexie and TapGirl that they got a BROADWAY number off the bat. Who did they kill to deserve that? Geez.

LOVE Travis. Always. Now I want SYTYCChoreo, and I want him on it so we see his numbers every week.

Every year when the show starts I forget how MANY dancers 20 is, in those early group routines. DANG. I liked the Wade number, though it wasn't super memorable, but it seemed so CLUTTERED.

Cat is wearing a hideously awful tie dye sherbert fringe thing. WTF?

Ohio is adorable. Single my ass.

Billy is SO GAY. But adorable--I really hope that his "YES!" when they picked his friend last night was real, and not a "Ooh, let's tape that again and you look happy for him!" kind of thing.

Mia's piece SO didn't showcase those poor boys. But I like the Freak adn the Beast. WAIT! OMG! NO PORTMANTEAUX PAIRINGS! If they're switching it up every week! I can't decide if I'm sad or relieved....

Not sure why Adechike thinks he's the underdog? I'd say Robert has had the least screen time...

OK, during this "freak" number, I can't figure out which girl is which. Who is the All Star? I don't even remember. (Hmm, rewind tells me it's Courtney. Who I thought I liked, but...)

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

I could tell which one was Courtney because she wasn't smiling the whole damn number!

I'm sad. For some reason, I thought Jacob was going to be one of the all stars.

And yeah, so not fair that Alexie and Melinda got Broadway.

LOVE Alex and Billy!

Art Crawl!!!

I gave up on Hell's Kitchen a couple of seasons ago - but I the F Word and the British Kitchen Nightmares are really good.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

can't believe that no one talked about Kent's "ideal woman" he chose his mom and Beyonce. GAY. Maybe he doesn't know yet?

Well, and they asked him right after Travis talked, and the camera work made it look like he was looking at Travis, and for a second I thought he was going to come out on nat'l television right off. I guess mom and Beyonce is the next closest thing.

I wish they wouldn't ask people that question.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'm watching Hell's Kitchen because a local chef is on there (the one with the blue hair). So far he's managed to keep his head down and do his work without being Ramseyed. I've always wanted to try his place, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Couldn't we get, just for starters, JUST the new people? Before cluttering up the stage with the All Stars?? It made it hard to focus, sometimes.

This was my problem with the set-up, too. The newbies were getting lost in the numbers -- half the time they were positioned in the back, behind the all-stars, or just generally out of focus. Sometimes I could barely see Kent, and Jose was in the back of the line half the time. Shouldn't the point of the episode be to highlight the new batch of contestants and not the returning dancers?

I don't have a problem with the all-stars idea in theory, but I will miss seeing partnerships develop. If this had been the concept all along, we never would have had Brandon and Janette. And we'll miss out on those long-awaited pairings, like Jakob and Ellenore.
