Because books.

I love Cat. I found it odd at first that she was never a dancer, but then Ryan Seacrest was never a singer, so.

Is anyone (else) watching Hell's Kitchen? I found it amusing and sad that the second person kicked off had the HK logo tattooed on his body.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I can't watch the show anymore. I watched every season and gave it up after last season.

I've never liked Hell's Kitchen, I don't like Gordon Ramsey, and am not motivated by being yelled at, so I find it bothersome. although I talked to the winner of Hell's Kitchen who runs a restaurant here in town. I confessed that I'd never seen the show and why, and he said that I would probably like Ramsey if I met him socially. I allowed as to the possibility and kept chatting, because he was cute.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

If you watch something like F Word, you see a totally different side of him, and he's pretty awesome. I don't know why he feels compelled to play it so very far over the top here.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

brenda - I feel the same about Ramsey. I much prefer his shows on BBC. You can tell he has knowledge and wants to help other people develop their skills. But on Hell's Kitchen he just comes across as a foul mouthed arse.

I think it was on an episode of the F Word...he spent some time in the kitchen of a din sum restaurant and tried to learn how to wrap the dumplings. He was very respectful of the head chef even when his dumplings were rejected.

I know that Ramsey can be - and often is - absolutely charming when he's not in the middle of this competition. I've seen segments where he'll take a bunch of contestants out to a meal or something (after they've won a challenge) and he's very nice. I imagine that he's pushed to be extra-nasty in the kitchen during the competition because (1) drama and (2) to make sure anyone who gets through can work under fire. But he seems to have gone over the top this season - I don't know if I'll stick with it much more.

And, Vortex, I think I know who you're talking about and he was cute.

Rock Harper. But then, I found out that he was married. Boo!

Yes, I remember seeing him with his wife when he won. But ... a little conversation and flirting is allowed.
