"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

but I'll totally miss Jonathan

yes, I will. He was my favorite. Now I'm rooting for Susr. Unfortnately Rick Moonen is getting so much screen time that I think that he's the winner.

I guess I'm rooting for Marcus if I'm rooting for anyone, but definitely against Rick. Just because he didn't actively annoy me last night doesn't mean it makes up for anything.

I was rooting for Jody, but even she admits the goat was a catastrophe. Of course, I also found out that after she chose lamb it turned out the piece she got was still partially frozen.

amen. And he needs to do something other than seafood. I wish he'd been paired with Jonathan and had to make the chicken soup. On a side note, that was a stupid "surprise" twist. A good soup takes time to develop the flavors and the stock.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

SYTYCD: Agree on pretty much all points. I love Janis of course, so I was happy to hear the song. And I liked Alexis last year and still do now.

Loved "no, I really am a dork" boy and am sorry to see he won`t be through.

I adored "Oh, I`ve traveled, I`ve been to Columbus" hee! So cute you want to pinch his little cheeks. And I loved the moment when he realized he was being seen as cute "oh, no!"

I was a little irritated to see the white contemporary bias in so early. Where are my b-boys? In the montage, evidently. We better get more of them in Vegas.

I was thinking about how I`d choreo a routine in order to connect with the audience (i.e. judges). You almost have to cast them in a role. Flirt with them, or joke to them Which makes it tough for routines with intensity like Jared`s (was it Jared) but that was a great choice for him as a foil for his bubbly personality, because the judges had a chance to see some depth in him and then fall in love with his mama`s boy sweetness. I think I would fourth wall the judges and bring them into a commentary on my story, as if I were winking at them over my shoulder.

Oh, yeah. I'd forgotten all about that in my mourning of Jonathan. That was lame.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

TCM:

Yeah, Tom was pissed- "raw pork stays and perfectly roast chicken gets axed!?"

For some reason Rick does not annoy me, but I can see why he annoys others. He does do and say annoying things, but I always see him as a big goofball.

I liked him in the beginning, but I became annoyed by his constant complaining and whining, and that he only cooks seafood.

The judges want bells and whistles, which I can't really blame them for. I can, however, blame them for condoning raw pork. And it wasn't just one person, so you could say that it was a fluke.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

SYTYCD: so many of the girls seemed to think dance = gymnastics + sexy moves. Disappointing ... but I'm sure Nigel was VERY happy.

And, a phrase that can only come up in this context - Hella Hung is better than Sex.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Still over here wondering how many restraining orders Cat Deeley's contemplated...

Another thing about gymnastics chick... three stress fractures? When was that, exactly? B/c I know from experience how long they take to heal and how sensitive the area is after it's healed (IIRC, my lower leg at least a year to feel normal), and I wasn't dancing (sometimes in heels) several hours a day.

Exactly. That's not a simple thing. I think chicken is much trickier to cook just right, than pork, and have it have flavor, and you don't have the luxury of serving it rare like with pork these days (rare - not raw).

Plus, Jonathan was stuck working with the words "burnt sienna" and "depression". Not a whole lot of room for bells and whistles there.
