Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Haven't we suffered enough, le nub? Don't say his name out loud or you'll conjure him up.

I had read that the Burn the Floor dude was on SYTYCD Australia. You can see clips on YouTube. I don't mind all that much. He didn't win. I kind of look at it as just another professional experience, which lots of these kids have. Being in a Broadway show is already a huge advantage in terms of ability to pick up choreography quickly, for example, or experience in the dance competition circuit can give an edge in performance quality and just comfort with being judged. There have been several contestants on the show who've worked with choreographers as their assisstants and that can be an advantage. I don't know. I'm not all het up about it.

I'm disappointed that we didn't see that gorgeous dancer from Miami City Ballet last night. I was hoping he'd come back once his contract was up.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I`ve given up hope that we`ll ever see him. And we haven`t seen his like.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ha! he isn't like Beetlejuice, is he? You know I don't watch the audition shows until I know the man isn't there. He skeeves me that badly.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Susan's dish -- it's unfortunate she lost on that, because I've had that dish, and it's one of the best things I've eaten in this town. It's crazy good. But maybe the other four dishes just topped it. Could be. Maybe they were bothered that she just produced a dish straight out of her restaurant. Because there's nothing simple about it, compared to the other dishes.

The huge discrepancy between the judges and the guests lead me to believe it was anti-sandwich snobbery that sunk her. On a related note, I seem to never want to stop slapping the two male judges. Not as much as I wanted to slap Toby on TC, but close.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I walked into a conversation our president was having with some other staff. She's looking for a team-building exercise. Her favorite, so far, is a Top Chef kind of thing - staff's broken down into teams, assigned a specific ingredient (or ingredients) and then has to make a dish in a set amount of time.

oy ... I'd say kill me now, but at least it's not the MMPI

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Toddson - could be worse. Several years ago we had to do Fear Factor style eating contests involving crackers and such, where contestants fed each other. And that was during the SARS scare.

That day is why I can't watch The Office, in fact.

ew ...just ... ew

I've been through worse, and with this at least there'll be food. But still ... don't know if I trust some of these people with sharp knives.

Because books.

In Idol ridiculous speculation news, I think Crystal and Lee are in LURVE and are going to be, like, an Idol super couple. It would be cute, anyway. And she just broke up with her boyfriend, so.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Kathy A, I just saw the Antiques Roadshow episode with the Washoe baskets that you mentioned earlier... thanks for the link about the resolution of the research for at least one of the baskets.
