Judge #4 and the Dawg pick Daughters for Casey. Gag me with a spoon. He sounds like he always sounds . . . Singer/dishwasher at your local bar. Oh and he could've at least learned the words. This is all he's doing. Only this. Learn the damn words to this craptastic song.

Ellen picked Maybe I'm Amazed for Mamasox. Quirky and unexpected. Love that Crystal did not do the gender flip. Her voice is ragged as hell, but that really worked for her here.

Simon picks Hallelujah for Lee. This song? For the five millionth time on AI? Simon's just fucking with me now. And he goes off key on the very first 'hallelujah" and pretty much stays off pitch for the whe rest of the song. Not even the Fantasia Barrino Memorial Pimp Chorus can help him. And the judges just lie to this kid and kiss his off key ass. They want the win so badly for this kid, they can taste it. Sadly for them, we can hear.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm watching Ancient Aliens (on the History channel!) I have to keep reminding myself that they're only interviewing people who agree with their premise.

Interviews where the scientists say "Actually, this is bullshit pseudoscience" tend not to be as good for stretching out into hourlong eps.

(Remember when "I only watch The History Channel" used to be a cliche for pretentious anti-TV snobbery? I wonder if there are any of those people left, and if they realize they're now watching the same crap the rest of us have been enjoying for years...)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

It's so easy to get sucked in. Why are there things that look like spacecraft in ancient works of art? And at least it's a change of pace from yet another show about Hitler.

Love the news on Top Chef about the judges. Love it.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Top Chef news! Including news about the panel of judges and the lineup of contestants, if folks don't want to be spoiled about any of that.

Seriously? I don't recognize most of those names, but Kelly Liken was just on Iron Chef, so I'm assuming there are some other accomplished people there.

Also, love the judges news.

TCM - Totally rooting for Susan to go all the way. I just love her attitude about everything.

AI: First, teens and pre-teens of America, what the fuck? I can't even comment on the person that Perez Hilton paraded across the stage except to opine that it must be some elaborate practical joke. And the Beiber creature was horrible. When did A&R people get replaced by Youtube? Ugh.

Next, why are the judges checking so hard for Lee? I fully expect to see all four in "Lee Dewyze: Ride or Die" t-shirts next week. No matter. I remain a huge Crystal fan. Her original song was awesome.

Last, seriously. What is up with the Beiber creature? I thought for a second Tim Urban had found a way to sneak back onto the stage.
