PR: As retro as Mila's clothes were, hers were the ones I'd love to wear, not Jay's, although I did think his were much more forward-thinking. I hope that Mila listens to the judges' advice on her models' looks for the runway at Bryant Park.

yes, that's true. But if this show is about innovation, Jay's clothes clearly one. Project Rungay talked about this, they thought that Nina picked Mila because she was thinking about her readers at Marie Claire and what they would want to see in the magazine. They want to see clothes, not fashion.

Because books.

Jay's may be more forward thinking, but for me they're always over-designed. Every garment has about three too many elements for me. Which could just be personal style, but I think his statements get a little lost when so much is going on.

true, but I'd rather see overdesigned than boring. And while I like Mila's clothes, they are very conservative. I would definitely wear a lot of her stuff, but when I watch PR, I want to see new designs, and ideas that will add some pizzaz to my boring :)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I thought the judge's discussion of Jay was interesting -- it sounded like Michael really thought he could work with Jay to fix the over-design issue, but that's not the point they were at.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, the judge's discussion was fascinating, and I rarely think that on PR. I like Mila's stuff, but when her voiceover was saying the three looks were clearly her but with surprises, I really wanted someone to point out what was surprising. But I just didn't like Jay's looks - I don't know if it was because they were over-designed or because his taste just doesn't line up with mine at all, but even the things the judges were singling out as being great were meh-to-ick for me.

The most fun moments were Tim saying "Fallopian tubes" and Nina throwing up her hands and saying she didn't know who she wanted to go forward.

Is it a true sign of geekiness that I looked at it and thought Brainiac?
