Hey, don't worry about it. Nest full of vampires, you come get me, okay. Box full of puppies, that's more of a judgement call.

Art Crawl!!!

Watched PR late last night: I'm glad Jonathan won and it makes sense to me that Amy was safe and Ben was gone.

I have to admit that I had trouble seeing the elements each designer was supposedly inspired by in the clothing that they produced.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

tiggy, okay I will watch on Wednesday, but I make no promises for the future.

Yeah, Maya's was the only one that really was evocative for me, the rest required explanation.

Because books.

I don't know -- once I saw the black and gray Anthony had, I got smoke, and I think it translated pretty well in the finished dress. And I think Jonathan's air was pretty clear.

Overall, though, it wasn't a great challenge. Or I should say it didn't produce great results.

Both of those I got once they explained them, but looking at them didn't make me spontaneously think "ah, yes, fire" or "air'. Which is fine, they were supposed to interpret, it just surprised me a little bit.

I wish I'd gotten a better look at Jay's. Finally, someone with immunity did something really bold and risky, I've been waiting for that forever. I think I liked it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yes, this. The explanations made perfect sense, and it was nice not to see a bunch of blue = water, red = fire dresses up there, but at the same time the judges need to be able to see the element in each look instantly.

I loved Seth Aaron's night sky look. I thought the back of the jacket was a little weird, but I would wear the rest of it in a heartbeat.

Seth Aaron's was the one I would most covet, definitely. I like it all the more for having seen him be all "Air? WTF am I gonna do for air?" at the beginning.

I took a look at the "rate the runway" pictures on the lifetime website and now that I've gotten a beter look at the detail of Jonathan's look I like it a lot more. I'm watching in HD and still not able to see the details, probably time for an eye exam...

Because books.

Seth Aaron's was incredible simply for how quickly he did something so complicated and pulled it off so spectacularly. I still don't think "air" = "sky", but once he pointed out the swoops on the back and the collar, it worked a little better for me, concept-wise.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I thought Seth Aaron's was fucking gorgeous. I bought black nail polish today in his honor. Okay, not really. But I really loved it.

I am totally willing to give him a pass on his interpretation of air, because I was all @@ at "engulfed in laughter" or whatever it was with Jonathan's look. I thought the description was really wonky, but I loved the look itself.

I could kind of see where Amy was heading, but she just didn't have the construction skills to make it happen. And I think part of it was the hair styling. i think they could have gone that direction with a little less poofiness in there and it would have looked pretty.
