We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Check the 9:00 eastern timeslot--I think that might be the new ep.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I just watched the show, why can't the hostess not talk, she's a total mush mouth.

Ok, her voice has been bugging me for so long, but I didn't want to say anything for fear it would be taken as ... I don;t know, offensive to say that since her accent is pretty heavy, but it's totally the mush mouth thing!!

Also, yes. I watch Salon Takeover. But I still miss her.'

I thought tonight's PR was the hardware store challenge?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

At first I thought it was the accent, but as I listened more, that's not it, it's the way that she pronounces things (or doesn't, as the case may be)

TVGuide shows that as the cover look challenge.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I think the host needs intensive pronunciation training and support. I think this would be true if I were to be a host of a tv show in Mexico or France. Her vowels aren't quite right and given that she seems to have good comprehension of English, etc. I just think she needs 2 months with a vocal coach.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

AI: So, Ellen says they sounded better in the studio than when she watched it on TV.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

That's what they all say.

information libertarian

I just listened to all the vocals (without video) and there were some that sounded better than I expected given the reactions. It's interesting, kind of like watching SYTYCD without sound. I do think our impressions are shaped as much by the visual of the performance as the vocal.

It makes sense -- she said she could hear the singers much more clearly on TV.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Survivor--So, the Heroes BRING IT to the competition big time. Looks like they are good as long as there are no puzzles involved.

And I woulda voted Randy out too, such a huge whiny drip he is. A weakness of mine is that if an evil person is actually amusing, like Tyson, I am much more on their side than if they are a more evil person but are also a downer.
