I think this may be the season to give up on TAR. Just the fact that they cast the SC idiot and the Big Brother chick may be the last straw.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
TAR - loved the daughter/father painting the inside of a house and the guy laughing at them. Wow. And with the two gals Megan mentioned above, TAR sure brought on the dumb. China? Seriously? I wish the airline clerk had given her a ticket to China. The elimination made me sad. Those two had such a great attitude and looked like they would be fun during the race.
Undercover Boss - What a train wreak. How could the CEO not KNOW that the public thought Hooters is demeaning to women? How was that an eye opener? And the disrespectful manager? How did he keep his job? I know they used the cover of this being for a documentary, but all the more reason to fire him. Jimbo KNEW he was on camera. He knew that he was representing Hooters. And that is the image he chose to give? An apology to his staff is NOT enough. I do like the idea above of the lady manager getting involved in recruiting. Too bad they didn't go that way. Sure a paid vacation is nice and all, but that is a short term solution to a long term problem.
If this episode had aired before the WM one, I wouldn't have watched again. No idea if I'll watch the one about 7-11. Maybe if I'm too lazy after TAR.
You guys, I seriously don't think I can explain how much I love BB Jordan. And Jeff! He at least can read, and I think they'll be nice to people, including each other. ♥
I don't dislike her, it's just the stunt casting of it. It just further reinforces that the race is less and less about smart racing. I've been losing interest for a few seasons now.

I also like them!
God, they make me draw hearts on my tv screen.
I totally adore them. She is dumb as a post, for sure, but sweet as hell and I love how they interact. (I question the "dating" bit though - their body language at the mat was crazy awkward. I don't buy it.)
Since I've never watched Big Brother, she just struck me as annoyingly dumb as a post. I'm also tired of seeing folks who won one show getting to participate on another. Give someone else a chance.
I didn't catch last night's TAR because I expected it for 9 and forgot to set the DVR! There would have to be a ton of stupid & annoying for me to give up, though.
A certain salting of the mildly-famous and reality show "stars" makes for interesting team and racing dynamics. Plus, for the producers, at least the assurance that at least one of the teams is used to cameras and will probably give them some good footage....
So much reality TV, so little time. I am not overly annoyed with anyone on TAR, which is the first time in a long time, so I take that as a good sign. I'm OK with Miss SC being on the show if only so that snarky gay brother can keep doing his dead on impression of her. Hi-larious. I also enjoyed the adorably clueless cowboys. Brazilian Reals? Really? I would've paid folding money to hear that bus driver talking to his friends in the break room. I liked the dad/daughter, too. Again, the workers were a hoot. Gotta love Chileans. (Note to Phil: Please learn how to pronounce Valparaiso. It was painful last night) And too bad the eliminated couple weren't around when the brother fell, or else he could've tried to zhush his way down. (Ghost of Carson Kresley!)
I can't even with Idol. There is too much. I hated the audition rounds so, so much. I can't even describe it. Hollywood week has been good thus far, though. And I'm loving Ellen on the panel, which I wouldn't have bet money on. So far, I enjoy the cholo ex-banger, the now 17 year old girl, the skinny jeans rocker dude (even though he hasn't gotten much play since early audition rounds) and the dreadlocks girl who sang Natural Woman. Amazing. I'm already over Big Mike and his baby and the endless pimping. His group sucked ass, his voice is good but not great, and he's not nearly as appealing as the show thinks he is.
Survivor: Awesome. I hope Rob doesn't die because while I hated him and Amber on TAR, I love him on Survivor. I wish Rupert would go home and take his bitchassness with him. A pinky toe? Stephanie's whole entire arm almost fell off and she popped it back in and kept rolling. I can't believe Tom and Co. didn't take Cirie or Amanda out when they had the chance. I can see that being a mistake. I didn't watch last season, so I don't know this Russell creature at all and already I want something really unpleasant to happen to him.
Other things, too, but that's all I can think about right now.
