Yeah, it really did. The best were Ashleigh's cha-cha with Jakob and her command-performance jive with Ryan, understandably, but I did like Russell's jive with Mollee, which was cute and reasonably well-performed.
Russell tended to stand out more in the group numbers and, of course, his solos than in any of his partnered routines.
He also had remarkably bad luck with partners hurting themselves though. it must be hard to really shine when you keep losing partners.
Well, and he had weak partners to start with, too.
I would have liked to have seen Ryan dance with S5's Janette.
Definitely agree that the dances overall were weaker this season than last, which is odd, because I felt like the dancers were stronger. But less passionate, maybe? More technical? I dunno.
And of course very little can surpass my love of Mark, if we're talking seasons past.
Hey, megan, can I ask why you didn't include the Transformers number in with the best-of? I loved that when I saw it on the Greatest Hits ep (I'm a latecomer to SYTYCD--didn't start watching until the Top 10 or 8 of S4).
Well, I thought I needed the room, I hate Misha Chan, and I hated the costumes. Also, that was the season with an extra number included. But, mostly 'cause I hated Lauren.
Noooooooooooo!!!!
While I was on vacation, my cable company DROPPED THE FOOD NETWORK FROM THEIR LINEUP. WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK, CABLEVISION???
oh, I would RIOT. fuck HGTV, but you will pry the Barefoot contessa from my cold dead hands.
Subscribers are up in arms, but there's no competition in our area (you either live on a Cablevision block or a Time Warner block - there's no overlap) unless people want to switch to satellite.
Dude, that's the only station my parents will watch. If that happened, they would go ballistic.
Ooo, Megan, I would love copies of the SYTYCD DVDs.
