Trust my rage

Yeah, I heard it like Kat typed it above even if I can't seem to convey it.

I finally closed the book on this season's SYTYCD. I hope they never do another fall season of this show. I'm exhausted and I don't know how I'm going to keep up when AI starts again in only a few weeks time. And with no Paula. It's unthinkable.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Nicely done, kat.

I agree with the recap dances as regards Russell. I mean, if they were going to redo a hiphop number with Russell, why couldn't they redo the one he didn't get to dance with Ashleigh, Shane's number? That would have been interesting at least. Not that it matters since they didn't get to dance them anyway, but still.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I wish on the finale while they have all top 20 there, that they would update us on if anyone had gotten jobs, or is that too soon?

and here's why. I think the show is introducing a lot of young kids to dance, but if they heard that someone they watched got on with such and such company, I think that some would go see the company. without it, I think you get an effect, but not as widespread - you get a Burn the Floor type effect with tourists visiting NY if that makes sense.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I just finished watching and wish I'd gotten to WNP with y'all, but you can just pretend I was standing behind Kat nodding like mad. Especially about Glambert and Jakob. Kat, I'm looking forward to going back and reading your blog.

I really think Ellenore should have been third, but oh well. I'm happy Russell won and the fuck you that it feels lime to Nigel and his dislike of krumping. I too wish Lil C had choregraphed Russell. And Ellenore, why not?

Btw, count me in on Mt. Rushmore. Travis' weakest routine and as I always look at the DiL's partners, I was annoyed to have nowhere to look.

Was it me or was the Wade top 20 routine the best group number of the season?

Oh, and I'm massively bitter about the timing of this season, as it severely hampered my enjoyment. I need time to miss Mary Murphy! So close on the heels of S5 was just too much. There were so many good routines in the last few weeks that I am reconsidering going to see the tour. Maybe I will.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

For no good reason, I'm watching stupid Watch What Happens, and Bryan Voltaggio was one of the top vote-getters for Fan Favorite??

He did explain why they didn't announce fan fave on the reunion show -- they taped it six weeks ago, so the votes weren't in yet.

And of course Kevin did actually win, so that's good.

But ew, why did stupid Andy ask stupid Bryan about the name and location of his restaurant, but not Kevin??

This makes total sense. I wonder how many of these kids actually join companies after the show, though? I can't think of anyone off the top of my head. I know Travis, Danny and someone else joined that Bad Boys of Dance thing that Rasta Thomas organizes, but that's not really a typical company as such. I feel like most of the kids post-show get sucked into choreographing and guest teaching on the competition studio/convention circuit - well at least the contempo kids. The hip hop kids seem to form crews and dominate ABDC or dance in Step Up 3D or Stomp the Yard II. And the ballroom kids go on DWTS. I actually wish more of these kids would join companies. That would be awesome. It really would be great, for example, if Dwight and Desmond did offer a spot in Complexions and Jakob accepted. Or if Ellenore went and joined Ailey. I'm just not sure it's happened that way for any of the show vets.

But still, they could highlight kids from past seasons who've done movies, been in hot videos, joined other shows (ABDC/DWTS), etc. I would love to hear about what they're doing.

I lovelovelove the top 14 routine (also done by Wade, I believe), where they were all dressed in white and started with dust cloths draped over them. I was rewatching it last night, and am tempted to keep the full two hours (I record it in a block with Glee) on my dvr just for that one number, at least until I get my best-of dvd back from my co-worker next week.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Survivor! The season continues to be AWESOME. Wonder what the fallout is going to be for Brett's vote against Shambo.
