I want Victor and Mollee to go home, but I think it will be Victor and Karen.
Hip hop aside, I was very pleased with the dances overall last night. I probably would have liked Jakob and FP's Sonya piece more if they hadn't been wearing those god-awful costumes. Loved Ellenore and Ryan's Broadway and the other Sonya piece.
I believe Nigel made Jakob promise to "never wear those pants again." Like he'd had any choice in the matter!
I believe Nigel made Jakob promise to "never wear those pants again."
I think that was actually Shankdaddy because I remember thinking "Of course he would take note of the too tight purple pants." The wardrobe folks were mostly off the monkey crack last night with the notable exception of Jakob and FP in Sonya's lyrical number and Mollee/Nathan in their hip hop dressed like extras from Newsies. But really, I can't even fault them too much for that one. What do you do when the choreographer gives you Alexander Graham Bell and his assistant receiving the first phone call as interpreted through hip hop? Ummm, OK. Just dress the kids up like angels with dirty faces and hope for the best, I guess. Other than that, they hit it out of the park. Loved the costuming for Victor/Karen's Argentine Tango, loved the costuming for the Broadway. (Their Lindy costumes were cute, too, except for Ellenore's white granny panties which made a return engagement during Russell/Noelle's contemporary piece. Why?) Really liked Jakob and FP's costumes for the salsa. Thought the only good thing about Mollee/Nathan's Can Can were the costumes. And shirtless Legacy, which should be a weekly ritual.
I haven't finished watching yet but Oh dear lord who thought the Can Can was a good idea? Why why why?
I had the same reaction -t--I think I actually asked the TV "who the hell came up with that?".
Because of the great underserved Can Can community, I suppose.
I do think the Mollee, "But I wore my underpants!" line almost made up for the can-can.
That line was the first time I've ever found her even remotely tolerable. Way to dig Nigel out of his dirty old man grave. Why did he even take it there? He's such a skeevy old perv.
but kat, he is EDUCATING us on dance.
The skirt was too long and she needed more petticoats. There was another wardrobe fail, but I can't remember. I was possibly distracted by Legacy's ass in those pants.
