I have had so many negative experiences with people with the first name of Michael that it took until the recent three years when I have a friend named Michael that I let go of my initial wariness at meeting Michaels.

That's funny -- I feel like half of the guys I have known in my life have been named Michael.

I had a lot of Davids and a LOT of Erics. Four of my closest friends over the years (two of whom I'm still close with) were Erics, and I knew even more.
The other name I have wariness with is "Kevin." In person, I have yet to meet a Kevin who hasn't been a major asshole.
I'm looking for a good Kevin.

I went to school with a lot of Marks.
We had about a million Johns of various spellings. A lot of guys named Chris, too.
I actually love the name Michael for a guy. Not fond of Mike, though.
