I suppose you may fool yourself that when push comes to shove (in Mika's case, literally) you can do some of the tasks....
But, SERIOUSLY, going into the competition with a crippling fear of heights AND water?
Loved that Tiffany (1/2 of the Poker Girls) could row correctly in the little rubber dinghy, which actually seemed to be just her size for correct operation.
You know, I would have JUMPED at the chance to handle $500,000.00 worth of gold, just to say I DID it. Plus, the math doesn't particularly faze me.

and then actually sharing it. Although, it wouldn't surprise me if Poker Girls could handle the paper calculation. Poker, as a sport, is also about remembering details of cards played and quick calculations of how much to bet and odds.
I think we're well into the Killer Fatigue part of the competition, which explains the lousy performance on some of the tasks -- even Mika's freakout being so bad.
I'm glad the Globetrotters are still in it. I think I'd rather see Pinky and the Brain win (how cool is it that Dad helped son dye his hair? :-)) but at this point I won't be too angry if any of the remaining teams go all the way.
A side note, does Poker Maria do ANY Roadblocks ever?
I'd need a handy spreadsheet of challenges to figure that out. Do they still have a 50-50 Roadblock rule?
I guess I'm alone in thinking the Globetrotters were over the line in taunting Mika. It was mean and unnecessary. Left a really bad taste in my mouth because up until that point I'd been crossing my fingers hard for them to catch up.

Yeah, although I loved that it turned out they could just borrow one from the people there. Thank goodness there are some people on the race who could figure out how easy the calculation was, though.....
Not alone, Jess. It's somewhat mitigated for me, in that they didn't see the previous portion of freak out and how bad it got, but only slightly.
The trash talking (a common basketball custom) could easily have backfired on them, because a lot of people (me included) might have gone down the slide just to spite them.

That's true - they didn't see the worst of it.
They also weren't *mean* as in calling her a chicken or whatever. They were just saying not to do it, which ... still struck me as a little unfair, but if anyone's behavior was really reprehensible, it was Caanan's.
Also, they were fighting to stay in the race. Had they trash talked just to stay in the middle of the pack, it would have come off different. But they knew they were in last and needed something to get ahead of the next team.
