Yeah, it's ridiculous. I'm one of those people grabbing for the phone but pretty much always for email and texting. I don't like making calls at the best of times, let alone when I'm surrounded by people.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
I don't usually watch DWTS, but this has SYTYCD Lacey and Mark Dacascos! [link]
I still don't get why my iPod is a problem and a cell phone is not.
I think the theory is that with earphones in you are much less likely to be able to hear instructions from the flight attendants/pilots because you are trying to drown out other noise.

I have such fond memories of watching him in The Crow TV series. (I've never watched whatever cooking show it is that they keep referring to when they introduce him, so it was disconcerting for me to see him as some sort of host.) I think with all his martial arts training he has the ability to move incredibly smoothly, although he was a bit rough last night.
Iron Chef. It's very weird because he's the only one on the show who is a character, the rest are all themselves.
Posting here instead of Spoilers because I really can't reveal anything specific -
The new season of TAR begins *awesomely*. There's a big twist right up front, and the Roadblock in the second leg (it's a 2-hour premiere, so there are 2 legs) may be my favorite TAR challenge EVER. It's just fantastic.
This year's cast is a mixed bag - still too many young couples for my taste - but the show overall looks like it's going to be a pretty fantastic season.
When does it start, Jess?
This Sunday, 8pm.
Thanks! I watch nothing on CBS anymore, so I realized I hadn't seen any promos or anything.
For some reason, they're still not shooting it in HD, which annoys me because I *know* how small and portable HD cameras have gotten! And the DVD they sent us was widescreen, so I had my hopes up. Oh well.
