Because I really thought that it seemed, once again, like more like Bryan's creation.
It seemed to me like it was totally Bryan's idea and Mike just had to execute it. From reading Tom's blog, it sounds like the judges recognized that it was Bryan's too.
if Heidi has an issue with boobs, I thought her model looked worse in that regard
A good bra would have fixed that, no problem, and since any straps would have been covered by the jacket, she could have put one on in the workroom beforehand. Epperson should have sewn in some cups into his dress to take care of his model's droopage.
It seemed to me like it was totally Bryan's idea
Didn't Bryan have to show Mike I how to construct the sauce so they could deconstruct it?
Yeah, I think the deconstructing was Mike's idea, but it was Bryan who had the know-how to actually make it work.
huh. I was on Bravo's blog page and Blais has a new picture up and it looks really different than his previous look. He has a modified fauxhawk, but his face looks really different as well. It's a little weird!
That new picture is totally weird! He looks like a Hollywood Househusband or something.
From Bryan's blog entry:
Deconstruction of a dish or sauce is only successful if you pull it off in such a way that the classic favor combination is not compromised. Making a classic Béarnaise is not what Michael I. wanted to do and I agreed. I have experience making this same sauce and knew of ways to incorporate into the dish in a way Michael and I were both looking for. So I was confident in pulling this off.
Epperson's model didn't really look all that droopy to me. The dress was very sexy and I was glad that he was unafraid to scrap the model's idea and go with what he knew would work. Let that be a lesson to Logan and his hideous electric blue Jr. Prom dress. My prom dress was that exact same color in 1988. Come on, now.
When she was describing her look to Tim, I was excited by Althea's idea, especially the jacket, but I hated the final product. It looked unfinished and kind of sloppy. I also thought the proportions on the skirt were weird. I would've given the win to Giordana. That dress was gorgeous and looked different from anything else on the runway. I also loved the white and silver dress, but there were fit issues. If it had fit perfectly, I would've wanted that for the win. I thought Shrin's dress was super cute as well, though it didn't really seem to be anything that the model actually said that she wanted. Ra'Mon is overly fond of the big, pouffy shoulder it seems, and the color was again very prom 80. The rest were kind of a blur, though I did like the green dress in the end.
Who did the other black dress, the one with the big poof of netting in the front of the high neck?
That was Louise's look for Fatma, no? I loved that one.
ETA: Whoops. Ok, so that girl is really not named Louise Brooks, but she looks like Louise Brooks, right? Well, I forget her name, but it was the one who looks like Louise Brooks.
I. Am. A MORON. I did not realize that the Robin on Top Chef is Robin from my favorite restaurant of all time, Crave! Now I have to go watch clips of TC and cheer for Robin. Because I would eat anything she cooks.
