Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Watching Top Model, and noticing that Tyra didn't even replace Paulina!

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I forgot to mention that the subtitles were very good in general, but Robuchon did not say the poussin was bland--he called it a bastard (I assume meaning a bastardized version).

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ha! I love that.

I thought Chanel Iman was actually good, and said not-half-bad actual model type things. But I'm curious to see how the rest of the season goes.

I also am very curious what happened to crazy Jesus chick who didn't make it on to the actual show because of some "issue". Did she go full mental?? She seemed awful close. Or did she get MORE Jesus-y and decided He didn't want her on the show? Or what???

Why won't A&E let me play "Hoarders" on their website?? It keeps not working. Is it my browser? My mac-ness? A plot to make me not want to clean my house? Fie on them!!

Trust my rage

I know you guys mentioned this but now Im wondering if Mattin is really "from France". When I was working for the State Dept in Rio, I talked to hundreds of people, some who wanted to pass as nTive English speakers. I would say that 99% of the time, I could sense when someone had studied hard but never really lived in the US.

Perhaps there was something in Robouchon s comment that I missed but I thought his reaction to Mattin was just odd.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

do you think it is because he does French/Spanish cooking?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I was going to ask - is he maybe actually Basque?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

yes he is. That's the region where he grew up. Southwestern France.

Trust my rage

I guess I have no idea what someone from the Basque region sounds like, but that might explain it. I still think it's sort of odd, but who knows..TV....stress...editing....
