Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

To be perfectly honest, if I had to choose between Ryan and Phillip, the other male tapper we saw tonight, I'd go with Phillip. Much more charismatic to my eyes. But, I'd totally love to see Ryan show up as a choreographer!

I was just really thrilled to see so many strong tappers. I really thought that tapping was out of fashion--here's hoping this means there's a revival!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I was about to say--I would love to see Phillip on the show, but I'd be happy with Ryan or Bianca in addition to him, because I enjoyed the tap off.

Would love to see Phillip make the show! I thought he was wonderful. He really had his own thing going on and the tapping was great. And if he's been in a touring company of Fosse, he can definitely do other things - at least good Jazz/contemporary. And he's very easy on the eyes.

I can't wait to see that screaming kid next week. He looks like fun.

ETA: I'm going to try to keep my blog going for this season's SYTYCD, although I fear burning out by the time AI S9 kicks off. Then again, the way the season is shaping up for AI, that might not be such a bad thing.

Forgot two things--I thought Christina (e) who did the hip hop salsa was fantastic dancer, but something about her was off-putting.

I also wonder how Phillip knows that Ryan has a smiley face on his bum.

So for the Top Chef finals, we're all predicting Kevin, Jen, & the brothers, right? Can everyone else go home now?

I hate to say it, but I suspect Mike I. will be in there somewhere as well. He's an asshat, but as long as he doesn't dog it like he did last week, he's got the skills.

As far as the rest, Ash and Ron have had good moments, but are inconcsistent. Apart from Ashley, the others have made almost zero impression on me (though the guy who's name I'm spacing on did have that funny comment about Robuchon being a unicorn). I'm not sure why Ashley is getting so much face time. This year's Carla, perhaps?

Bite your tongue.

I'm not sure I agree about Mike I., but my complete hatred of him could be coloring my opinion. I do think Eli (unicorn remark) might be a dark horse, but I really like him, so I might just be hoping.

Otherwise, yes. Everyone else can go home now, thanks.

Unless I'm remembering it wrong, this is the first week Mike I hasn't been in the bottom of both challenges, so I don't see him as a serious contender for the win.

All, was Sex in SYTYCD? He completely grosses me out, so if he wasn't on the show, I'll watch it.

I just double-checked the elimination challenges and he was in the winner's circle week 1, neither winners or losers week 2 and both week 3 (which was the week he dogged it). So possibly inconsistent enough to blow it one week, but I fear we are stuck with him for at least as long as we were with Spike (and I think he's a better chef than Spike).

I don't remember how he did in the Quickfires, and both TWoP and the Bravo sites make it impossible to check that info quickly.
