Also, didn't they say on the show last night that Mitchell had previous experience doing maternity wear? I thought they did.

I do too. But on the runway he said that he'd never sewn a pregnancy band before. I don't get it. It seems to me that you just pin the fabric in pleats, then sew it onto the band, but maybe I'm oversimplifying it. Also, I don't know why he made the shorts so large in the first place

And he's switched models for two weeks running. It's not the models.

I didn't notice they had switched. Is this being shown in the model show? Because I was kind of surprised that they did not have the whole "do you want to keep your model?" non-drama.

And, if so, has it really become a real model competition too (finally)?

I think that they did the model thing at the beginning of the model show last week (I didn't watch the models this week) but I could be wrong.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I agreed with the boot on PR, but also agree that Mitchell's days are numbered.

Otherwise, I like the vibe in the workroom this season. It seems free of a lot of the personality conflicts of past seasons. However, that may change with the teaming up next ep.

TC: I find myself only half watching. I just don't seem to be as into it as I used to be.

someone talked about an Epperson/Qristal thing, but I didn't really see it. Of course, I tend to ff through the scenes in the apartments.

The first two model shows have ended with the model picking and one of the models being auf-ed. And the designers have been switching a lot. I think more than in past seasons. So in that sense, yes, it is finally also a competition for the models as well. That aspect has been pretty much the only intersting part of the otherwise disappointing Models of the Runway. The models have very definite opinions about which designers they want and which ones they don't want and very different strategies (some want to switch, some want to stick with their designers).

The Epperson/Qristyl thing was teased in the previews for the next episode. It seems that they wind up paired together and things do not go well.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Five Reasons Why Project Runway Is Over:

Yeah, I think anyone who's ready to deem the show "over" after two competitions, and two where the overall work was strong, at that, was just looking for a reason to write that.

1.) Obviously, the author is more interested in big, loud personalities then the actual competition. Which is valid, but I've been perfectly happy to see less drama and more concentration on the actual clothes. (Of course, there will be drama. But it's not a priority for me.)

2.) Malvin and Ari were neither forward-thinking or edgy, although I presume they were brought on with that hope. Turns out, they were just batty and, worse, boring. Best to get rid of them now. The first few episodes are pretty much just a clearinghouse every season of what's just obviously not going to work. The order doesn't much matter.

3.) Again, just two episodes in, I think the author is leaping to conclusions with "The Mommy Demographic" (as if Heidi hasn't wanted to do that challenge for years) and the absence of gays. (Am I wrong in thinking that most of the male competitors are gay, once again? I mean, seriously. And while I'm at it, note to Fatima: LOGAN IS GAY AND HE WILL NEVER, EVER RETURN YOUR FEELINGS FOR HIM!!!! Ahem. Seriously, I'm just not seeing it being overly different from past seasons, except that maybe there's not as many drama queens in the workroom. Yet.
