"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Sometimes not winning is the best thing that happens to you, because you're in the field and available when people are interested in you. Whereas the winners are swept off to do winner things, but by the time they're trying to book jobs themselves, they're off people's radar already.

exactly. although simon cowell has recognized this and now locks in all of the top five or so.

I agree that Sweet P's collection was not all that. I actively hated her red carpet dress.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Agree that Korto should have taken it instead of Daniel, but I knew Daniel was going to win from the beginning. I liked his red carpet dress, but hated the whole rest of the mini collection.

Totally. Every single piece of hers was great. He had one that had any appeal at all.

Also? What's so fucking edgy and high-fashion about women who look like they've got black eyes? I know he was going for sporty, or something, but it left me with a really bad taste in my mouth.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Well, the full episode of PR is up now on the Lifetime site, however, the All-star episode is not. *sigh*

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I know he was going for sporty, or something, but it left me with a really bad taste in my mouth.

Me too. I think my exact words to DH were "why does he want all his models to look like they've been punched in the face?"

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This is what happens when I'm home on Saturday night: I learn that Lisa from Top Model is going to be on "Celebrity" Rehab! [link]

Did anyone else watch Trinny & Susannah's new show, "Making Over America"? I'm not sure I love it, but the one part where they were taking photos, and it was so clear the difference the clothes made, was just awesome.

Megan, I saw the one where they made over the cheerleading coach. In addition to her makeover, I liked that they gave the cheer group a lesson in picking clothes for your body.

Because books.

I was a little bit confused about how it's going to be different from the original version of What Not to Wear, which was theirs, right? But I did mean to watch it and just forgot.

Also apparently missed the Brian Boitano thing, which I am dying to see.

I've not heard anything about a new Trinny and Susannah show--what channel is it on and when?

It was on right after the new WNTW, i.e., 10pm Friday.

It was a little bit like the non-traditional WNTW's they started to do at the end of their BBC run, where they sort of live with the person a bit. That's the part I don't love. I learned so much about colors and shapes in their early shows, and now there's a lot more psychology to it.

Like the American WNTW, especially recently, it's very unhelpful to my own life.

SuziQ, I thought of you on Friday--this week's WNTW was a woman from Denver!
