::covers eyes to avoid PR spoilers until I can watch it tonight::

Just wanted to post this Frontera Grill report--not my own, unfortunately, but from someone at the foodie website I stop by for recommendations. He was able to grab a seat at the bar and order the partial version of the TC:M winning entry (it was $90 for the full version). It has pictures of his meal; it looks terrific!

Reservations at Topolobampo are full up until the end of September, but if you're willing to wait for a seat (three hours yesterday!) or take a place at the bar at Frontera, you can order from Topo's menu there.

I just finished the All-Star challenge, and I continue to be annoyed that "lots of women would love to wear that!" isn't the highest praise.

Yeah, this continues to bug. I thought both Sweet P's and Korto's dresses were gorgeous. I hated Daniel's stuff, especially the restaurant look. I think with a better red carpet dress, Chris could have taken it.

I'm looking forward to see what this batch comes up with. I think the right person won, and the right person went home.

I have no interest in the models show, but if this means they are actually going to pick models every week, I'm all for it.

I don't know. Daniel's stuff was pretty much crap except for the red carpet dress. I felt like they just wanted him to win. He's their idea of the future of design.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oh, okay - she's the retro Texas designer, right?

Yes. She's also the one who said (in one of the video clips on the show site) that she was "the goth girl" in high school, and she's been trying to move beyond that label. (I'm paraphrasing.) Which makes me snippy, because if she's been trying to "move beyond that label", then maybe she shouldn't have consistently aimed all of her online retail efforts for the past almost decade AT goths.

(It's not just what she said on that interview, either. She's said the same sort of thing to other goth-focused designers, and complained that catering to goths has limited her success. But she's the one who kept choosing to cater to us!)

she seemed okay with the time for the challenge. I wonder if she's one of those people who has a harder time getting stuff done with too much time, and no real consequences for lateness.

I see that she's not listing anywhere NEAR the amount of items on her Etsy shop that she usually does, and she says she's not taking any more corset orders right now, so she can "get through her back orders".

Arrgh! The Lifetime site is very frustrating!

You can watch video, but it is just in little chunks with annoying intros and loud commercials.

The "Rate the Runway" has no way that I could find to move smoothly from one design to the next, like a "Next" button!

And I lost patience trying to find out what the challenge was for the All-stars.

I hope they do rebroadcast because I could not get any sense of the episode!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The All Stars challenge was just a mini collection, three pieces. Then they took them out for a nice dinner where in a shocking twist the designers then had to add a fourth look made from materials in the restaurant.

You have to know, at this point, if you're in a reality skills competition and someone takes you out for a nice dinner that you're in for a challenge, right? Comfortable shoes, people, comfortable shoes.

Because books.

I'm bummed, because I missed the whole all-star thing after the first half hour, and it doesn't look like Lifetime is reairing it anytime soon. Is it online, too?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I didn't notice that Mountaha from MMaSM was one of Chris March's models! [link]

Because books.

I thought I spotted Shannon, too! From the first season. (I was watching with one eye, but it was muted and I was on the phone.)

PR is supposed to be available on Lifetimes site but all I can find are snippets. No full episode.
