Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

ABDC: I really like this show. I don't think the dancing overall is Jabbawockees level, but there are some nice things going on there. And that hula hoop routine was sick! Loved it.

I was a little disappointed in Rhythm City not embracing their challenge. I'm glad they were called on it. It may just be me coming off SYTYCD and being all about the different genres. But I think it's important to see and respect, even if you don't understand, the other forms of dance. Okay, fine, the Charleston is old and it is indeed cheezy. But you won't be the first to reinvent it, and you could do cool stuff with it. But they didn't.

Vogue Evolution was, again, fantastic. So much fun.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Vogue Evolution was terrific (Leomi was really rocking her hairflinging--very brave considering it's got to be a wig), but I did question their level of "African dance." Looked like they just had those arm circles and that was about it. But, most of the other crews also only paid slight attention to their challenges.

My favorite so far remains We Are Heroes; they were amazing with the strobing!!

I loved when JC said that the Kid'n'Play was basically the Charleston.

They didn't get any actual instruction, did they? It seems like they would have had to have gotten very lucky to any better -- if they had a crew member who was actually trained in the style.

Yeah, that is the element that's missing in this show. There's no instruction or guidance other than the videos, so I can see how things get lost.

But yeah, definitely lots of the crews only briefly did their challenges. I like to see them more integrated into the routines.

yes, but they made it cool when they hooked ankles and hopped in a circle. My bro and I used to go out and get hammered and do it with a little bit of prodding.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Did we know that Jeffrey has a Food Network online show? The Spice Smuggler. Each ep is only about 5 minutes long, but the recipes look nummy.

Also, I have just discovered that Cablevision doesn't carry Lifetime in HD, which means I'll be watching lo-res Project Runway this season. Boooooo.

BB: I'm glad they showed as much of that post-HOH brouhaha as they did -- I watched about 20 minutes of it online the other day -- but Jeff really spent a LONG time saying "Why can't we all just make this fun" before he had his mini-blow-up, which still seemed like more of a demonstration than an actual freak-out.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Jesse, I'm glad too they gave a little context - not having watched any of the feed it was clear to me that he wasn't actually threatening to go off the handle, but trying to make a point. They could have edited that way differently.

I am kind of ashamed to say that it was almost worth having Jessie back on the show for the amount of stone crazy dust he apparently left in his wake.

Oh yeah, this season is definitely growing on me, and Jessie has a lot to do with that.

I really can't get over how flabbergasted Lydia seems to be that she just can't have everything her own way. Natalie, too. "You HAD the power, but you didn't have to USE it!!" I mean, seriously.

And I guess no double-elim on Thursday, eh.
