well, I did call her a ghoul and a drunk, so I thought it would be too much to say that her recipes were completely disgusting and I wouldn't eat them if I'd been held captive for three years in the congo subsisting on fetid water and the occasional grub.

My coworker today insisted that, no problem, she would have been able to identify smoked paprika and chervil.

On Monday, I caught a rerun of No Reservations where Bourdain went back to his old stomping grounds of Les Halles (restaurant in NYC) and worked the line as a sous chef for the day. For the dinner shift, he brought in Ripert to work the grill, who (of course) handled it much better than Bourdain did.
