Ugh. I am so scared that Evan is going to win.
I would be happy with either Brandon or Jeanine, who I thought really brought it tonight, but Ugh.
Even though Brandon and Kayla were amazing. I thought Bye Bye Love was not a good dance for two people. It needed more people, especially on that big a stage.
I am about to vote for the first time too.
Just saw the paso and if one of those two don't take this I may cry. I think Jeanine was a little too strong and not quite "capey" enough, which was not helped by the fact that she was in the same color as Brandon, but I think that was the most paso of any paso doble they've had on this show.
I am so scared that Evan is going to win.
You need to be. I'm convinced he is going to win. Much to my own terror.
I just tried to vote for Brandon a few times and each time the line was busy. No problem for Jeanine.
I can't believe I'm actually calling in to one of these shows.
I am really pulling for Jeanine. That solo was fabulous. I could not believe those pirouettes.
I love this episode for the ability to see everyone against each other. It makes it all so interesting. Brandon definitely outshone Evan, but as expected, and I think Evan actually did tolerably well. He just isn't a superior dancer at this point. I don't know if the criticism will backfire, though, by firing up his voting fanbase.
It was closer between the women, but I thought Jeanine outdanced Kayla. But it may just be my personal preferences. I just never bought what Kayla was selling. I think she's a lovely dancer, and she obviously has amazing extensions. But I agree with the comment about lack of connection, which I think is fairly common among dancers.
Anyway, I'll be good if either Brandon or Jeanine take it.
Jeanine is a lead twitter topic though, could be a good sign if all those fools vote.
He totally should have gone with a sorbet and the almond brittle all made by himself.
Definitely. Although given how much luck contestants seem to have with the TC freezers, I might have avoided frozen desert altogether.
yeah- there was so much that could have been done with the fresh fruits. Buying rice milk ice cream was such a huge misfire in terms of strategy as well as execution. Art was a little out of his depth, I think.
Re: scenes from next week: I hope that Chiarello did something that justified Dale's hissy fit. Because I like Dale and I do not like Chiarello.
My money is on Bayliss to take this competition.
Top Chef: Chocolate was obviously okay -- what about something like a flourless chocolate torte? Although I guess that's not something you attempt without a recipe or some experience, either.
I was really surprised by how well they all did, on balance, *and* by the number of vegans who did not know quinoa pasta existed. I mean, if you're a vegan, aren't you going to explore every option? Although I guess most of them aren't gluten-intolerant.
SYTYCD: Since I've never seen a final four performance show, that was really incredible. I liked the way Nigel slanted his comments, too -- even if this is supposed to be "America's favorite dancer," he was obviously trying to point out who the *best* dancers are.
As much as I like Evan, I agree that he's just not cut out for certain types of dancing. Even if he pulls them off technically, that sweetness is just too prominent. (Although I did think he did better with Nasty than I expected.) I'll be happy no matter who wins at this point, as long as it isn't Evan.
