Mineral powder foundation (i.e., Bare Escentuals, Aromaleigh, et al.) stays on even when you sweat. For reals.
Huh. Even when you have to mop off your face? I am skeptical.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I mean, I know enough to know that it's not like you walk around with an Asimov series of books all over you face, with covers in different colors and materials, but that's about that.
Heh.
Hey Nilly - will you be able to procure a copy of this book that everyone's talking about?

I swear to any and all deities.
Do you need to use something special to remove the mineral foundation? I too am a sweater and I take public transportation, so I have some walking and sweating time before work (although I have solved the make-up thing by getting to work early and applying there!)

There's always Amazon.
But I already have a copy! Allyson sent me an ARC. I'm hugging a copy and petting it (and not calling it George, because hugging and petting a book is enough already to make me look a little less than sane, and yes, I do actually physically hug it). So thanks for asking, and the answer is a yay-ing "yes".

OK, next time I go by a Sephora or something, I'll see if I can get some on my face to see what happens. I like the idea of magic powder...

Nope. Whatever you normally use is fine. You can even fall asleep without washing your face, and it doesn't wreck your complexion. ISTG, it kicks ass.
Oh! Nilly, I have a random question for you. I have an Orthodox coworker, and I swear, she bare legs under her skirt the other day. Could that be? I really don't think I've ever seen her withuot stockings before.

Her skirt ended below her knees, though, right?
Only the most strict Orthodox women (what you'd probably call "Hasidic" in English?) wear socks all the time. I don't, for example.
Regardless, the skirt has to be long enough to end below the knees (even when sitting). And then you can go to all sorts of questions regarding how tight it may be, if it's cut a bit (so that it's possible to walk in strides longer than a couple of inches), whether it's OK and where and how high, and so forth. But that's already way more than you asked, right?
Ah-ha. Yeah, her skirt was below the knees. Maybe I've just never noticed her bare legs before, even when they've been there! She's not Hasidic for sure, but does wear a wig, for example.
