Shit's all sorts of different now.

Mineral powder foundation (i.e., Bare Escentuals, Aromaleigh, et al.) stays on even when you sweat. For reals.

It's my newest favoritest thing EVER. I use the Loreal stuff.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Vortex, you can order samples from Aromaleigh's Web site, to see if you like the stuff without spending a lot of dough. Plus, you can try a few shades that way, to see what works best on you. Although they do offer a guide to determining your skin tone. Here's a chart of the colors of the Voile powder.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

you know have to be much, much more fit than the average person and yet, some how manage to look pudgy

Physiology's a bitch. I watch so many people working out with such different intensities, and you have the chick on one hand who's reluctant to use any but the smallest weights because every effort makes her buffer and buffer, or the guy who's eating healthily and hauling VW Bugs that can't get rid of the pudge around his middle.

Oy. Morning. Oy.

Today was supposed to be a good day. Or at least a neutral one.

Being woken at five o'clock with back cramps really doesn't lend itself to a day going in that direction.

But I'm glad Nilly has Muppets.

It is HOT and I am CRANKY. t clutches coffee

I don't understand how people keep makeup on in the summer.

Sephora, baby. Stays on your face all day, even if you're on the dance floor. Not that I've been on the dance floor lately. God, I'm getting old.

After the Federer/Nadal match yesterday, I was glad Federer won (since there were a couple of times I was pretty sure he wouldn't), but I must declare Nadal officially ADORABLE.

He is. I got spoiled in the fifth set when it was still 5-2, and I was pretty sure that Federer was going to win, but I was still cranky because Nadal was playing fierce and he could have taken it. Of course, Roger's still my favorite as he is the Silent Yet BITCHY Swiss Terror.

Also? VENUS VENUS VENUS.

Plei. Yeah Darby's is new. I have not tried it. Seems to be a love it/hate it thing! I think one of their big things is a tofu scramble that tastes just like diner scrambled eggs -- grease and all. Without having tried it, I seriously doubt it comes close to Seattle's Cafe Flora.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Wondering what to get that hard-to-buy-for relative for Christmas?

Or you could save $3,670.00 and just get them this.

That Aromaleigh colour guide confuses the hell out of me. But I forget to think foundation when I think makeup.

Which is for the best. Life is complicated enough without it.

Swouncing

sara, I hope you feel better, and soon.

I know so little about makeup, I'm not even sure I know what you mean when you talk about this "foundation" thing (and no, it's definitely not the English).

I mean, I know enough to know that it's not like you walk around with an Asimov series of books all over you face, with covers in different colors and materials, like people trying to walk straight but with the books on their actual face instead of on top of their heads, but that's about that.
