His left claw/wing is like a horseshoe crab, all out of proportion huge.
It's pretty quiet here today, as well, but I'm getting some stuff done, so I'm keeping busy. Friday, OTOH, is going to be deader than dead. Right now, I'm trying to figure out some stuff to do with my mom when she comes out in August. So far, I've got the Field Museum (I've been wanting to go to the Darwin exhibit, and it's been forever since I've seen the museum at all) and Millennium Park on the 15th (the orchestra's playing Beethoven's Pastorale that evening, and I do love free concerts!), one day at the Botanic Garden, and possibly a day-trip to Milwaukee.
It was quiet here until I left for 20 minutes to get lunch.
Not so quiet anymore.
I have turned my iPod on shuffle. Am attempting to beat back the hordes and am humming along to Duran Duran. Am too cranky to have shame.
My shuffle (function, not iPod, which I do not have) is giving me tons of ABBA and Pet Shop Boys today. I'm feeling very retro.
OK, that bat is freaky. What was evolution thinking?
What was evolution thinking?
"OK, if we evolve some freaky-ass bat, maybe an intelligent species will arise and put the freaky-ass bat in zoos, away from predators and other animals that might kill it in horror."
What was evolution thinking?
it seemed like a good idea at the time?
What was evolution thinking?
"DOOD! Check out what I made!!"
It is pretty dead here today for everyone but us lackeys in Admin. However, I care not, for tomorrow is a holiday, plus I am taking Friday off for the inpection of our New House (Yay!) followed by a trip to the dentist (boo!). Plus I am sneaking out at lunch today to meet the DH at a plumbing and kithcen store around the corner to look at cool stuff we can't afford.
We're leaving at 2 for New Orleans. I have packed and cleaned the kitchen.
::snort:: You people crack me up. I bet amych is closest to right.
ETA: or maybe Jessica.
