Not as bad as this season on Angel, even if that was the reverse effect. One character declared in the last episode that the events of the past five episodes had taken place over a couple of weeks, when as a viewer it seemed very much like a couple of days.

Hello folks, we're planning to have a quotable deathmatch for Buffy characters (get quotes from various episodes and try to find the best quote for each character, then have the characters square off against each other) and we'd love for you guys to participate. Thing is, we don't want to spoil you folks. When does Buffy end for you?
Elena, it'll end for us Aussies on the 4th of August, assuming that we have three more repeats to get through for synchronisation issues, then get the last five eps in one stretch. It might end a week earlier if 7 decides to show two episodes together at finale, which they've done before.
Anyone here watched Red Cap? Is it worth a look?
I'm totally oblivious to costumes on Buffy, but I always notice music, and When She Was Bad is a great ep in that regard: not only Cibo Matto at the Bronze, but also the gorgeous Alison Krauss song that plays during the scene in the car between Buffy and Joyce.
The song that does me in more than any other on Buffy is Goodbye to You (by Michelle Branch??), who sings at the Bronze at the end of Tabula Rasa, as Giles flies away, Tara moves out, and finally .... the camera moves round under the stairs and, oh my God, Buffy is kissing Spike. Again.
Second up is the song (don't know what it's called) in Dead Things when Buffy and Spike are drawn to each other and Spike is caressing his crypt door... but alas she is gone. Sensual anguish.
Third is the song they play at the start of Conversations with Dead People that sets up the episode. You actually see the band setting up, and the song says...``Warm skin, Wolf grin, And where were you, Where were you...''
All three guaranteed to make the hair on the back of the neck prickle.
The Sarah Mclaughlin song at the end of Becoming Pt2, still gives me goosebumps.
It's lucky Veruca had that animal magnetism thing going b/c her singing sucked.
Yeah, Veruca, she was a sleaze bag AND she couldn't sing. Willow's increasing discomfort at Oz's attraction to her was extraordinarily well acted. It made me paranoid just watching her.
Most of the songs used on Buffy aren't really my cup of tea genre-wise, which is why the Cibo Matto one (which is) is my favourite, but one that I think is used really effectively is the one that's playing during the slo-mo power shot when vamped-up Darla and crew enter the Bronze during "The Harvest". Oh, and "Transylvanian Concubine" is cool too, obv.

I really like THC. Or the four songs of their's I have on mp3 anyway
