Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

It is a good thing.

Our wings are not tired.

I never saw anything redeeming in Kennedy. She was loud, demanding, presumptious, arrogant.

ita is me. The character did nothing for me at all. Perhaps because I felt her screen time took away from characters I wanted to see.

It's a remora, dimwit.

It was season 7, and people wanted focus on the scoobies - not Willow's current fucktoy. They didn't succeed in making us love Kennedy, or even feel that Willow loved her, so she seemed like a waste of time that could have been spent on Xander or Giles or even Clem.

Yeah, my take on the finale was for the most part negative, so I've been staying away from the Buffy thread - I don't want to have to call people fuckleheads when they go on about, "He gave you what you needed, not what you wanted you immature harpy!" What? It's Buffy. I got issues. Kind of hard not to.

Is she worse later in the season? Because she's been just sorta *there* for me, so far. Oh, apart from her "Willow, aka girl who I barely know--you should really use your powers, those things about which I know nothing, and screw the consequences, which just to be clear, are also things I don't comprehend at all!" bit in Get it Done. Yeah, that bit was annoying, but it's the only example of truly obnoxious behaviour I can think of off the top of my head.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Somehow Kennedy is suddenly on the executive committee.

I think that is what drove annoyance to disgust.

That, and, well, it's Buffy. We expect a lot from recurring characters. It's like there's some slogan about how Sunnydale is the place where the women are strong, the men are good-looking, and the lesbians are all above average.

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

I saw Kennedy as being used to represent the ordinary potentials-- the one whose name you can remember.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I found Rona more representative, because she seemed to have a point.

See, I thought that was Stupid Fucking Hat Girl - which is actually her legal name, though she had to be baptized Stupid Frickin' Hat Girl since her family's Mormon.
