So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

God, the Smartie argument confuses me. Our Smarties are little round chalky things that come in rolls. Like Pez, but sour, sort of.

And in Canada, those are Rockets.

whoever was saying there was no Smarties memorial? Check out the above site.

Me (me me).

But I believe I said that nothing matched the three (freakin!) floors of M&M lovin' in Vegas.

Their fridge magnet display alone is ten times the size of that wee smartie collectin!

At M&M world colour discussions are redundant. They have a whole wall of mix your owns. (The lady told me that they refill the browns so much less than all the other colours :)

hip deep in pie

So, let me get this straight.. a foot in each camp?

Ahh.. a true Canadian :)

I have a hard time arguing against any chocolate.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

And she also managed to chew an olive up and eject the entire thing out her nose, though that was more of a freakish accident.

My sister made me laugh so hard that I spit a carrot out my nose. So fucking painful.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Julie, I generally make wide circles around the M&M memorial in Vegas (it's on the South Strip, IIRC). I don't make eye contact. It scares me.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I have a hard time arguing against any chocolate.

Have you tried Whitman's?

Clearly you're in the "I wouldn't have stepped inside" camp. The boy will be glad to hear he has company. And those of us riding the one way escalators to M&M glory will be too busy to notice your absence ;)

From memory its location was definitely on the strip, and sort of opposite the Bellagio. just down from the MGM Grand (according to mapquest- although we walked from the Grand and I don't recall it being immediately next door.)

Have you tried Whitman's?

Is USian Whitman's the same as Un-Am Whitman's? Because the stuff we got in Australia was borderline edible.

Well, the building scared me....

The stuff we got in Australia is my basis for this. Given it's now pulled out of the Australian market, I believe history has vindicated me.

Julie, I'd hazard a guess that ...

the stuff we got in Australia was borderline edible

was exactly the sort of sentiment that BT was driving at.

In memememe news, I've now replaced my modem, processor, cd rom, and hard drive. Unfortunately my browser seems to have a hernia opening more than one window at a time and something is chewing up some amazing amounts of resources because the system keeps locking up every time I try to do more than one thing, so I'm still a bit intermittant here but persevering. Keep those extremities at the ready for crossing if I need it.
