That's just... now I know for sure that having too many children too close together breaks your brain.

Okay, that explains Cindy.
The boy? Not so much :)

There once was a mighty slayer lass
a watcher brave and true...
A spirit gal and a hearty lad
make up our core four crew

which is exactly why there are international treaties banning me from filking!!

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I did not realize Anzac Day way today. Of course, I only know anything about Anzac Day because of those time-filler features on NBC during the Sydney Olypmics, so maybe there was a reason to suffer through John Tesh as a sports commentator.

As a side note, I played a scrabble game once in which my father was left with seven tiles in his possession. He couldn't resist showing us them, because they made a perfect word in some alternate universe he could almost touch: W-O-T-Z-I-N-G. So close to a triple word score with 50-point bonus for using all your letters! So close and yet so far!

It's like every scrabble game I've ever played. Though I maintain that I suck at scrabble because we're always playing in cafes, which for some reason refuse to kept a dictionary handy. So no one ever believes me when I claim that 'practicable' is a word.

which is exactly why there are international treaties banning me from filking!!

Bah, no one actually obeys those things. It's like whenever there's a war people get all het-up about Geneva Convention this, and human rights that and in the end peoples is still dead...uh, so filk yourself happy, is what I think I'm saying.

Edit - it is just my browser that's showing all the posts on the last page after Julie's filk post in -1 font?

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

this is all Julie's fault, though I think Cindy should hold some blame as well:

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful sitch,
That started in this tropic state,
from mighty joss' wish.

The slayer was a mighty slayin' gal,
The watcher brave and sure.
Two scoobies started out the show
And Faith was still cocksure.

The slayin' started getting rough,
The tiny slayer grave-tossed,
If not for the courage of the fearless scoobs,
The slayer would be lost, the slayer would be lost.

The slayer died in season 5, returned in season 6
With Xander,
and Willow too,
The Watcher (but no wife),
The bratty girl,
And crazy Spike,
Here on Revello Street.

So this is the tale of the Scoobie gang
Buffy's speechifying a long, long time,
They'll have to make the best of things,
They've got an uphill climb.

The slayer and the Watcher too,
will fight over which way's best,
To keep the others half alive,
In the Revello street nest.

No solid wall, no windows, no lights, no motor cars,
pizza all the time,
Like Robinson Crusoe,
With a primitive dreaming mime.

So join us here each week my friends,
Until the end of May at least,
With seven, six, uh stranded SiT girls,
Here in Revello Street.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful sitch,
That started in this tropic state,
from mighty joss' wish.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I kick ass at Scrabble. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Yay Deena!! That's great!

I think this may be the first time I've posted in Un-American. Posts! Posts in new places!

I think it's about my third or fourth time, and I keep feeling like I shouldn't be here... like I've walked into the men's room by mistake *g*.

Okay, walking away from the computer. I just tried to filk the theme song from Courtship of Eddie's Father to fit Connor and Angel. I think I need an intervention.

You'd think I could resign myself to the fact that I suck at that game, but my evil pride in my vocabulary (as personified by a mini-Wesley of Buffy S3, who sits on my shoulder and mouths sweet pompous nothings like 'diegetic', 'abstruse' and 'apotheosis' in my ear) has me by the balls. Metaphorically speaking.

Amyth, current season - I'm posting it to Angel. I shall blame you.
