Angel: Just admit it: you think you're gonna ride in, save the day, and sweep Buffy off her--Spike: Like you're not thinking the same thing. Angel: I'm already seeing somebody. Spike: What, dog girl?

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

San Antone's 90 miles, but at I-35 speeds it takes about an hour to get there from here.

That said, I'm not too big of a fan of SA. I'd stay in Austin, myself. My folks always stay at Habitat, and that's where I stayed on my first trip to Austin as an adult, so I'm happy that it's going to work out for you. Just to warn you in advance, there's a strip joint next door, but that doesn't mean "bad part of town" in Texas like it does elsewhere. In fact, that's a good area.

Corwood, I can't understand where the personal responsibility issue comes from in this season. Those boys are twelve. They have no way to take personal responsibility.

Note to erika: conservatives freaky.

What's she ever done to you? Have you ever even *met* SA? She's a very nice Buffista and you are just rude!

Snerk.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

What does it say about us as a society that we’re obviously completely obsessed with talking, evil-looking stuffed animals?

That Clovis' plans for world domination are coming along nicely?

Mmmmm, tasty foot. Apologies to SA for inadvertently conflating her with good ol' San Antonio.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

But during the Vietnam era, so close after WW II , and Korea, with China closed, and the cold war with the USSR, I'm not so sure that was the case, then.

A lot people at the time did not think Vietnam strategically important. The whole "Domino" theory was a rationalization for why it was worth fighting over an otherwise unimportant nation. Oh I'm sure the people who advanced it were sincere, but they also had all these theories about how to win wars with airpower, and minimal numbers of ground troops that they wanted to test.

Well, if I have trouble paying for the room it's nice to know there are options...

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've read that the Vietnam war wasn't so much about "communism taking over" as Vietnamese nationalism asserting itself, and as a result of our obsession with fighting communism we missed this fact.
