I mean, this is a place where donuts get dipped into coffee.

So long as there's no Italians watching, I think it's safe.

Looks like Graham crackers it is. I thought I'd at least better make an effort at Americanising a recipe for the cookbook.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Damn, now I want a mini apple pie.

::fist pump::

Except -- I went by Ye Olde Britishe Stupidlye Named Shoppe, and they didn't have the Kiplings. So I got some other overly dusted with sugar brand.

I need to try my backup store, but I heard some tales of import problems.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

In NYC, I bet A Salt And Battery carries them. And I think Chip Shop has a store attached, too.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

A friend of mine was just raving about the canned cakes she can get at the import place by her.

Treacle pudding. That you cook by putting the can in a pot of boiling water. I think it has a funny texture, and the idea of boiling a can of cake just strikes me as wrong.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I wonder if I can get Kiplings pies around here.

She said they have spotted dick and chocolate cake, too.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

freed by the magic of tea and chocolate coating.
But really, what isn't?

the idea of boiling a can of cake just strikes me as wrong.

But the texture of the cake means it all makes sense. So... dense.

I'm all of a sudden extremely glad that I live in a place where I can get delicious things without having to go to an import place. And I'm now craving mince pies. I know I have a jar of mince from last year when I made too much. Can I be bothered making pastry? Can I ?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

one of my clients was supposed to get me stuff today. I spoke with her at 4 and she told me some of it was ready. I told her to send it to me as it was ready to not wait to send it all at once. Now at 6:10, do you think I have ANY of it? of course not. WTH?!?! Apparently I will be working on it all weekend. BASTAGES!

But where do you get your yummy American/Chinese/Jamaican stuff? I mean, everyone has to import something (or someone).
