Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Treacle pudding. That you cook by putting the can in a pot of boiling water. I think it has a funny texture, and the idea of boiling a can of cake just strikes me as wrong.

She said they have spotted dick and chocolate cake, too.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

freed by the magic of tea and chocolate coating.
But really, what isn't?

But the texture of the cake means it all makes sense. So... dense.

I'm all of a sudden extremely glad that I live in a place where I can get delicious things without having to go to an import place. And I'm now craving mince pies. I know I have a jar of mince from last year when I made too much. Can I be bothered making pastry? Can I ?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

one of my clients was supposed to get me stuff today. I spoke with her at 4 and she told me some of it was ready. I told her to send it to me as it was ready to not wait to send it all at once. Now at 6:10, do you think I have ANY of it? of course not. WTH?!?! Apparently I will be working on it all weekend. BASTAGES!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But where do you get your yummy American/Chinese/Jamaican stuff? I mean, everyone has to import something (or someone).

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm craving Graham crackers now. And since the wikipedia entry on them says that most modern ones are made with much more sugar than the original ones, I'm now curious what the originals tasted like. I wonder if there's a recipe somewhere.

I was trying to ignore that in favour of feeling superior. Damn you ita, damn you to the world without Mr Kipling.

The American things I have serious trouble getting are fizzy drinks. Like Cherry Coke. Which I would quite cheerfully kill for. And now I hear there's a Vanilla Cherry Coke? Who do I have to sleep with?

When I'm done transferring files, ita, I might go to the British shop. I'll see if they have Kiplings for ya.

Mmm.... I'm pleasantly full from decaf iced tea with torani syrup in it and, separately, milk.

You wound me as if you are msbelle!!!! Woe!!

Speaking of imports and sodas -- I hit up BevMo today, and the location in Simi has no Ting. But I did find a new Jamaican beer, so I bought a six pack of those. Now, if only I drank beer -- I have some sort of alcohol hoarding compulsion.

And a Moxie. Also bought that.

I just wanted Ting.
