Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Maybe trying to have Lynley not be depressed was too difficult to sustain.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I mean seriously.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I do like EG's mysteries, but in small doses. She seems to subscribe to the 'what kind of crap can I fling at my characters now?" school of writing. I made the mistake of reading three of her novels in a row and then having to take a major break from her.

I'm just glad that the character being offed isn't Barbara.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

That was really why I checked. I'm not sure I'd stay interested in the series without Barbara.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Okay, more dish about Lost. Apparently this is on spoilerfix, but I saw it on LJ.

Will there really be a second death on "Lost?" Has anyone heard that?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

More stuff on LJ and a reposted USA Today article. A lot of info as above, but in the original form.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I haven't read it myself to check yet, but apparently Wrongda is claiming that Victor Garber isn't going anywhere, which is good news.

I anticipate a series of clandestine doctor's appointments and lots of lying.

Our wings are not tired.

That is very good news. I'm choosing to believe she is Rightda.

What is even happening?

For le nubian, candy (if she ever comes here any more) and anyone else who doesn't venture outside--Plei's baby via Jilli: [link]

eta...

That is, the picture is care of Jilli, the baby is by way of Plei and her dh (Plei's dh, not Jilli's because he's Jilli's and I'll shut up now. I might be overly excited about this baby).
