It's a cheap cop out and stupidly innacurate. People are mean drunks but, really, how many people get really belligerent when they're stoned.
Depends on the drug, doesn't it? (not debating that it was a dumbass story-line and that they missed an opportunity to address how willow used magic to compensate for her insecurities)
You know. Gang-related. PCP.
Sure, Smonster, I get what you're saying BUT Willow whacked on on magick didn't seem like PCP. She seemed sort of loopy and euphoric and out of it. Just saying that if you're going to make magick a drug, then be smart about it. Maybe everytime Willow finishes a spell she orders a pizza and listens to the Allman Brothers.
Just as an aside, I always wanted a BtVS episode where everyone gets baked. I thought it would be hilarious in much the same way that one "BArney Miller" episode was so funny. Also, it would be a nice way for Giles to relive his youth.

Hmm. Yes, I see what you're saying. My memory of that arc is v. fuzzy - was out of country and being tape fairy'd. Not sure I've seen them all, really.
You're my blue sky, you're my sunny day...

"Tabula Rasa" redux. Or maybe "Band Candy."
Willow's Magic Crack® trips seemed more like LSD than weed or PCP to me.
I will give them points for having Giles kinda sorta point out that the problem wasn't so much magic being addictive as Willow getting addicted to the power and confidence it gave her. Yeah, it was like Skip's big retcon in "Inside Out," but if the thing being retconned is awful enough in its own right, I don't look the gift horse in the mouth.

I was thinking mushrooms or ecstacy. But then again, I'm always thinking about those things.

"Good in milk. Go 'mooshie, mooshie.'" I loved Jack Soo.
I just found out that in "I, Robot" when Giles is listening to the radio the announcer is voiced by Joss himself.

Am I going Tru Calling nuts, or did you post that somewhere yesterday?
