"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Where you go and buy packaged liquor as opposed to a wholesaler or buying it in a resturaunt or bar, or getting a daquiri from a daquiri place.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

So-- it is a liquor store in Northern parlance? And there are daiquari places!?!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And there are daiquari places!?!

They look like slurpee machines, just sitting there.

I thought I was buying a slurpee, but I didn't give it back when I realised my mistake.

Hell, there are daquiri places in the movie theatres.

Wow! I feel like a wide-eyed innocent.... but I don't think they have them here. We have a Martini Bar.

They have them in the malls, even. Louisiana's different about alcohol. I don't think they have a law against open containers of alcohol in the car, either.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

We had to have a piece of scotch tape over the straw opening in the daquiri lid to comply with the open container law. We've got drive through liqour and daquiri stores. I really miss those.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Not to change the subject, but quick question -- someone's tagline made me wonder: was Anya's last word (at least onscreen, which is all we have to go by) "bunnies"?

Yup. Even in the script:

INT. SUNNYDALE HIGH SCHOOL - NORTH HALL - DAY

Andrew and Anya, also in wait mode.

ANDREW

I think they're coming...

ANYA

Oh God. I'm terrified. I didn't

think... I just figured you would be

terrified and I would be sarcastic

about it.

ANDREW (also shit-scared)

Picture happy things. A lake. Candy

canes. Bunnies.

Anya's eyes narrow.

ANYA

Bunnies. Floppy, hoppy, bunnies.

Her sword comes up, all of her fear gone.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

But the other posted lines make it pretty clear, to me, that she didn't know Dawn would use it as a roadmap.

Then why hide that she pulled the book from Tara? Did she ever admit to doing this, or do we file it with Xander's lie?

As for intending solace, I think this is akin to giving a recovering alcoholic a beer making kit so he can have a hobby. "Didn't think he'd go out and get the ingredients to make the beer, I figured he'd just want to know about all teh stuff that goes into building his own brewery."

Blargh.

Willow can be an irresponsible asswipe, just like the rest of em. And it's always worse when hidden behind the doe-eyed, "but i didn't KNOW, i was just trying to HELP!"

Feh. It makes her a more interesting character, at least. Still want to shove her in a locker and give her a wedgie.

Religion isn't the cause of wars. It's the excuse. - Christopher Brookmyre

Daniel, can I just ask where you got the shooting script thing from? Cause Psyche's site seems to be down, and I'm going into shooting script withdrawl.(Which I can't spell)

Nobody

Is a package store just, like, a 7-11 selling beer?

No. No other stuff, just wine, beer and liquor (okay, and lottery, and cigarettes, maybe a keychain or lighter, but still not a convenient store, unless it's convenient and...) Well, kinda, but not really. In MA, they don't sell alcohol in stores that aren't package or liquor stores.

Sophia - yes, it is a liquor store. In Boston we call 'em liquor stores or "packies". As in: I have to make a packy run. I never realized that was regional.
