I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Tim is finished with chemo and got to ring the bell! He has 3 more days of radiation, and they have their own bell he gets to ring his last day, on Friday.

Ozempic update: down 40 lbs

Right on!

but have stalled over the last month, so upped my dosage again

Do you get side effects when you increase the dose? I really dislike the queasy stomach I get the first couple-few days after my Zepbound shot, and I worry that if I increase the dose, the side effects will be worse. [barf emoji]

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Curious to see whether this works: 🤮

eta: Success! Windows+period for the selection menu.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Lisa, I'm so sorry about CB.

Steph, congrats to Tim on ringing that bell!

I also have a deep loathing for the Odoo podcast ads. Unfortunately they are on ALL the Marketplace podcasts, grr.

I spent three hours this morning at the ER after Aeryn started their day by coughing up blood. Fortunately the diagnosis was "Has rhinovirus, probably swallowed some blood from a middle-of-the-night nosebleed but is not bleeding internally or anything dangerous." I'll take a boring ER visit over an exciting one any day, but UGH not how any of us wanted to start the week.

Yay bell ringing!!

Also yay ozempic!

Teppy when I have increased the dose after being on a lower dose for a while, it feels like pretty much the same side effects. If those had mostly worn off, that’s a bit annoying but it only felt worse than before when I went up right after the first month on a dose. (ETA: not sure that makes sense. But like, if I initially had a 6/10 nausea the day after on .25mg, and after a few months it’s down to a 4/10, when I went up to .5 it might go back to 6, but didn’t go to 8, other than the very first time I tried to go up (after just a month)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Woo!

That's where I hear them. Glad I am no the only hater!

Coughing up blood is never not scary as hell, but glad it's got a less scary explanation! Yikes.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yeesh, I'm glad Aeryn's okay.

I get the queasy stomach after my shot or upping my dose, but the effects don't get worse. It's just the same slightly wonky feeling for 2-3 days.

I have slain the Lutherans! My sink is empty and I'm bleaching it clean and the dishwasher is churgling away making its homey little sounds.

I've also attended to some administrativa and online banking. I need to shoot an email out and vacuum and then I will be officially Productive and Not Sluggardly.

Well, I could also do some laundry.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh lisah I’m so sorry about your girl.

Yay for boring ERs and only slightly shitty side effects.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry, lisah.

Got back Sunday afternoon. Sadly, my brother is a Trumper. Between him and his FIL, there were a number of times I had to bite my lip, or leave the room as soon as I could.

I got my flu shot yesterday at work, and am having some side effects.(Chills, body aches)

Our wings are not tired.

I'm about at the maximum dose now, but I'm also close to my goal weight.

That's wonderful. Enjoy the new clothes! I have so many in smaller sizes tucked away, but clearly I will deserve new ones when I get to a goal weight.

Tim is finished with chemo and got to ring the bell! He has 3 more days of radiation, and they have their own bell he gets to ring his last day, on Friday.

That is wonderful to hear. I hope he enjoyed the bell ringing! I saw a picture of Joe Biden ringing the bell today and thought about Tim getting to do that too.

I'll take a boring ER visit over an exciting one any day, but UGH not how any of us wanted to start the week.

No fun at all. I do hope Aeryn is doing much better tonight.

It gets harder and harder to control the rage around these people. Harder when they are related.

Busy day today. Over 2 hours at the nail salon getting the works before I leave for the season. My sister and I timed going to the gym to finish up in time to go to the movie theater in town so as to only make one trip. Tomorrow off to the big city (Utica!) for acupuncture and maybe see my nephew while I am there.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I’m sorry, Lisa.

I’m glad Tim’s chemo is done.
