My goodness am I tired of being out of town. I finally fly home on Sunday.

I finally fly home on Sunday.
Yay and smooth travels, ND.
And, aw, that is quite the community evolution, David. Who'd have predicted, back in the day.
All love to shrift. I know you'll take good care of her, Hec; you're a community rock like that. And a good friend.
Well, it's not all glamour all the time.(I wish) Aw, Karl, who would know better than you...game respects game. But I think that it seems like it, Hec.
I am happy to report that shrift got the Express Butt Spelunking and I barely had time to go shopping in Japantown before I had to go collect her again.
She's been deposited back at her apartment and is very excited at the prospect of eating vegetables again.
Oh, yeah, having the colonoscopy in the rear view mirror, so to speak, is a good feeling!
Mom got neglected by the doc that did hers. just because assholes are your beat doesn't give you a pass to be one.
Bravo, Hec! I'm glad you were able to be there for Shrift.
I got up hella early to take my car in to get the windshield replaced. Now I gotta wait around for several hours. Walked over to a coffee shop, now time to surf the internet..
You know how Tim had super low blood pressure the past 2 weekends? And the oncologist's conclusion was that (since he didn't have any other symptoms like fever or abdominal pain) he just needed to hydrate agressively? And so the new plan was that on Fridays he would get a bag of IV fluids after his radiation. So yesterday he did get a bag o' fluids after radiation.
And this morning his BP is crazy low again. What the FUCK. The fluids were supposed to help! He does check his BP during the week, and it's not crazy low on weekday mornings. The only difference we can see is that he gets more sleep on the weekends, but getting more sleep isn't a known factor for low BP. This is crazy.
Anyway, yesterday was the end of week 4 of treatment, and he has 3 weeks to go. I can't believe he's more than halfway through. He's still eating solid foods, just softer solids. He's also supplementing with Boost Very High Calorie formula. Still going to work 4 days a week after radiation, but taking the whole day off for chemo day.
I'm finished with PT for the time being. I do still have some hip pain, but it's not as bad as it was back in July and August. And the range of motion and strength in that leg have really improved. So I'll just keep doing the PT exercises at home and hopefully they'll keep helping.
