United Healthcare rant: They are "making" me pay $125 for 10mg and $50 for 5mg for a combined one month supply of Trintellix (which my doc prescribed instead of something more typical because of concerns about interactions with my various health issues) -- they wouldn't fill a 10mg Rx in the amount that would have me splitting the pills; had to get two separate Rxs. So, that's $175 per month in Rx copay or whatever it's called. With BCBS, it was $30 and they allowed the pill and a half method. Total money grab on UHC's part. Vultures.

Anyway -- due to the preauthorization hoops, I've been off of it for more than two weeks and, frankly, haven't noticed a difference. DH's company switched from UHC to Cigna as of September 1, so I'm not going to fill it, and I'm going to talk to my doctor about whether I need to be on anything right now, but... I don't even know how Cigna will treat it, but I'm just so effing mad -- because I know a minor issue for me is magnified a thousandfold for some people in much more dire medical and financial situations, and it's so maddening.

Vibes to Tim!!

Jen I have to do that with my antidepressant, fill it as two separate doses and pay twice. It’s obnoxious but only like $20 so not the worst. Still rude though, but since my migraine meds (old and generic!) are $180 it’s not tops on my list.

Yeah -- if they weren't charging me so much per Rx, I'd deal. And still grumble, but I'd deal. But, also, the fact that I'm not feeling ANY different without the meds for two weeks means I should revisit with my doc anyway, I guess.
