Wow, Sheryl, that's some pretty bad neighboring!

Yikes, Sheryl, what a jerk.
Well, the Honey Ginger Salmon with Peach Salsa was really good -- if do say so myself -- and just the salmon glaze part will be good on its own with no peach salsa, so, yay, another good treatment for salmon.
And now I just have one peach left, so I think I am going to just eat that one, because yum. I did make blueberry cobbler (someone suggested peach cobbler, which made me think of it) with the blueberries I got, so I managed to get a dessert out of the haul, too. Excellent.
Oh oh putting things in your mailbox is a federal crime. Maybe tape a note on it letting the asshole know that.
Imagine if your asshole neighbor put that energy into something useful. Imagine if they all did. It would be a different world. I hope your knee feels better soon, Sheryl.
I had a job interview in my old home town yesterday. It’s over 3.5 hours from family, and I moved to Michigan to be closer to family, so I’m a bit ambivalent. But late in the interview they asked about committee work, and I mentioned how proud I was to be a founding member of my current team’s DEIA group, completely forgetting that the town hosted a unit of the Klan until just a couple of years ago. The atmosphere got a little chilly thereafter, so I don’t know that this is a choice I’ll need to make.
I had an interview Thursday with a different community college that’s a lot closer, and they asked me to tell them about my experiences promoting diversity at my current job. I suspect that would be a far better fit.
Yeah, better to find out the office culture includes a commitment to racism before an offer is on the table, Calli.
That does make the choice more obvious, Calli. Hope that one comes through.
Sending out the birthday~ma to Kat G today with hopes for a wonderful year.
I’d hoped that the dismantling of the local Klan group was a sign that things had improved. Guess it’s still a work in progress.
Happy birthday, Kay G.!
