Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

WHY AM I AWAKE

Surgery went well and now I’m waiting for Tim to wake up from anesthesia. The surgeon said it was actually 2 distinct lumps instead of 1, but said their appearance was more on the benign side, but obviously they won’t know for sure until the lumps are biopsied.

It’s 8:30 now, and I’m hoping to be back to sleep by 10 a.m.

Punishingly Intricate

Glad to hear it went well, Steph!

Glad it went well, Steph! Continued benign ~ma.

I am waiting to get an echo to see how my ejection fraction is holding up. Last one a couple years ago was good, so I'm hoping for same or better this year.

I want to do something today, but I haven't figured out what yet.

Oh, and since we switched insurance with DH's new job, I was declined for Ozempic -- so we're going to talk about Wegovy and Zepbound since they are approved for chronic weight management with at least one co-morbidity, and I'm still JUST at the "overweight" BMI even after 29 lb. loss. I feel like I have a decent shot. Also, I hate insurance games.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

That's "funny," my insurance won't cover Zepbound even though it's approved for severe sleep apnea. But for diabetes, they'll approve Ozempic without a thought.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I have the distinct impression insurance companies use some big spinner wheel from a game show to determine whether or not they'll approve a given medication or procedure.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am a 17 year old boy and

Sounds close enough to something sexual to have me making giggle.

Okay, we made it home by 10:40, so I missed my goal of asleep by 10 a.m. And now I'm not quite sleepy enough to try to nap. I suspect I'll be ready for a nap after lunch, though.

Ha, ha, ha! I see what you mean.

I decided breakfast out would be fun, though it's actually more like brunch, I guess. Even eating outside because it's pleasant, breezy and not very humid.
