Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

Always Anti-fascist!

Last night, I was on a CodePink webinar with a Jacqueline from San Francisco, and for a moment, it was very hard not to run over and start...Idk, start spouting fannish nonsense at her. Even though there might be hundreds of Jacquelines in the region, and we only back-channelled and stuff--say, quarterly and we usually approached lefty things from different angles--and I don't mean porn-- but it wasn't completely wrong to think that was a thing she might have come to...still glad I didn't really do that. It might have been a lot to explain.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Seltzer on tap is amazing! Spindrift in general is quite good, I'm not sure if I've had lemon. When we were going on family vacation/roadtrips when I was a kid we were in the habit of filling a large thermos with a tap sort of thing (not as big as a football game gatorade container but kinda along those lines) with lemonade and then refilling with water as it got depleted so we had sort of lemony water to drink. From that, I ended up really liking water with a hint of flavor and my sister ended up hating it.

I think I like tea in all its forms. Hot, cold, sweet, unsweet, fruit flavored, herbal, black, green, etc. Knowing that, you'd think I'd drink it more often.

Same on all counts, JenP! I have a box of assorted teabags on my desk at work and do I ever make tea to drink while I work? Hardly ever.

To the point where I take a few steps towards the "but first" task, get distracted, and forget both tasks.

::waves:: Yes, that is very familiar

Aw, I can imagine that that would be a bit unsettling, erika. I work with a Ginger and seeing her name on email still gives me a little jolt sometimes, depending on the subject

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Woot! I got three packages in the mail today.

These were items that could have theoretically gone out the door months ago but the whole Entropy heat death of the universe resistance to actually getting things labeled and taken to the post office fought mightily against me.

Yet, I have triumphed against this reality-wide conspiracy to thwart mailing boxes.

I have no hot takes on tea, nor sweeteners.

I don't have seltzer on tap but I do have a Sodastream which is basically the same idea and you could all have it in your home should you desire bubbly on tap!

Woohoo! Getting packages successfully mailed off is always an impressive accomplishment

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I feel like I am basically a lurker anymore, but... hi!

This is why if I want something in a restaurant that isn't water or wine, and the place has unsweetened tea, I order a half & half. (Sorry, but in New England this has always been called thus and I refuse to call it an Arnold Palmer.)

I can't even say the words "Arnold Palmer" and I don't even have a Boston accent. I can get out "Ahnah Pahmah"

From days or weeks ago, meara, it might help you come to terms with the Spelling Bee if you know it's a curated set of words, not a dictionary. They keep stuff out on purpose. But also you can email and yell at them.

Not meara, but I think I knew that. At the very least, I'm always cranky about how many medical terms are left out. And they're terms that (I think) are in more or less common use! Although the Spelling Bee hill I will die on is, always, that "yeet" should be included.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I have the Penguin from Sodastream which is adorable but it's no Seltzer On Tap. It's "pretty easy seltzer as long as I've chilled the water in the bottle and think to fizz it and the machine is accessible."

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The weekend didn't go so well. Mr. S had a meltdown at the fireworks and walked to the local hospital, 1.5 miles away, barefoot.(Gary followed behind) Saturday was ok, though he took a while to settle down for bed. He had another meltdown on the way back to the center when he realized he didn't have the diamond art sets he wanted to take back.(He refused to go into the house and help Gary collect all his stuff,) He ended up refusing to get out of the car when they got to St. Vincent's, and Gary had to call for help from the staff.

This Sunday is Mr. S's birthday. We'll see how things go.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

These are also my roadblocks to using my Sodastream Penguin.

My biggest roadblock is "Ooops! Empty CO2 cylinder!"
