Shir, so glad you're back in your own home, and YAY for extended Book Week!
I got my laundry in off the clothesline in the backyard *just* as thunder started to rumble. Cutting it a little close there, but the clothes are dry!

Shir, not the same at all. But I do know what it's like to spend money on anything that excites you, however momentarily. I did cull some books recently.
I'm glad you're able to be home now, Shir.
Tuesday morning I discovered my car had been damaged in a hit-and-run in the wee hours of Sunday morning. I was able to drive it that day, but Wednesday morning I couldn't even unlock the door with the fob. The 12v battery (it's a hybrid) was truly, most sincerely dead. So (during the final week of tech/previews of a musical) I got the police report, filed with insurance, got the car towed in for repair and picked up a rental car. Oh, and had a plumbing issue with the kitchen sink fixed. Whee!
In Random Acts of JZ I passed along today the knowledge of Due South and what it can do to a person's spirits to a friend who needed to hear that.
She did dearly love Due South and watched it probably thrice through with her elder friend, Maggie. (Alternating with Slings and Arrows for a non-stop Paul Gross loop.)

Sheesh! Too much monkey business!
Teppy! I am in Ohio and there are lots of lightning bugs in my cousin's backyard. Such a delight.
My cousins are just the best. Our dads were brothers and my side had 4 kids and Uncle Ace had 5. The 9 of us grew up together and it doesn't matter how long it is between visits as we could not be more comfortable.
