Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

Suppressed violent tendencies gold star for you!

Enjoy your solitude this weekend.

I ended up canceling the cleaners for several months out of an abundance of caution, and they came back today. Oh, happy, happy day.

In other news, I got (breathable) t-shirts for my seasonal allergy prone doggo to see if it helps more with protecting her skin... she's got an armpit infection right now that we're treating. She's SO much better generally than she was when we first got her, but I figured every little bit.

She also looks freaking cute in the t-shirts, much as I never thought of myself as a clothes on animals person. Between the shirts, the supplements, a daily allergy oral, and a monthly itch relief injection, girlfriend practically doesn't remember what itching feels like. As is right and proper.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Hey, Trudy. I probably thought this and didn't post it, but it's really good to see your pixels again. I've missed you.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes yesterday.

However, today is a more important anniversary to me. It is the sixth anniversary of my cancer diagnosis. I didn't really expect to make it three years, let alone six.

Today is also notable because I went in for my latest quarterly labs&scans. The results are:

Lymph node mets: no significant changes (good news)
Bone mets: no new or worsening lesions (good news)
PSA is <0.01 (excellent news)

I have lots of gripes due to treatments and medications and side effects, and some of them are slowly getting worse, but I have no new gripes. The cancer remains well controlled. I am very happy about that.

I have been enrolled in the CHAARTED2 clinical trial since November 2020, and it will stop tracking patients this coming November, but so long as nothing significant changes with my health before then, the plan is to continue with my current medications and my current testing program. Next year could be a whole other story. It is too soon to think about that.

I am glad to be surviving.
I am proud to continue to push the survival stats higher.

Every morning I wake up, I remind myself: "This is a bonus day. Make the most of it."

That is so awesome dcp! I’m working on a clinical trial in prostate cancer right now and we’d dream of results like that! (Some of the folks have a PSA >1000!)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Fuck yeah, dcp.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So great, dcp! Come on survival stats, keep getting better!

meara, it's an odd flex, but: metastatic de novo, stage IVb, cTX, cN1, cM1b, PSA = 11201.7

Not a record-breaker, but still pretty unusual.
