Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Aw Todd. What an elegant woman she was.

Truly. I’m not certain about this but I *think* I hung out with her at every F2F I went to and for some reason those are the times I keep thinking about rather than the countless times we hung out online. Although I’m sure I will always think of her any time I am in the office by myself and the motion sensor lights turn off, etc

Our wings are not tired.

Todd was the first person I met at the DC F2F. We were early arrivals and spent quite a lot of time together. She was indeed elegant and lovely. I'd been worried about her for months but didn't have any response from what may have been an old email. She will indeed be missed.

Health~ma for your mom, Sheryl. Recurring UTIs are an issue with elderly people. It is challenging to maintain sufficient hydration.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh no, I'm so sad to hear that.

Sheryl, best wishes for your mother.

Prayers, etc. that nobody gets hurt and this jailbreak in New Orleans remains hilarious.

Right now the warden is giving a press conference saying she's been trying to replace the broken locks and cell doors that can be knocked off of their tracks since she took the job. Now, I'm no law enforcement official and I've only done fake time, but even I know that is step one of incarceration.

At one point in the coverage (before the presser) they showed a big hole and said that officials think it had something to do with the escape. Big hole, "this was to easy" graffiti... could be guys, could be...

Seems they had an eight hour head start before anyone knew they were gone. Ten are still missing, the one they caught was found in the French Quarter.

Oh no! I always had the best time hanging out with Todd at all of the F2F gatherings. I will miss her.

Louisiana is certainly having a lot of news happening this week

Huh. My company has apparently hired a Project Manager who will be in Supply Chain on the org chart though will be managing interdepartmental projects. Or so I understand from the email they sent out. Wonder what that's about. For once, it doesn't sound like my actual job will change (I am probably wrong about that, but it's possible)
