Always Anti-fascist!

cereal: Not to sound like I'd meet some tour bus all "Let's talk intestines!1"(I'm not allowed after what happened last time.) On a more serious note, though, I do wonder what disability is like in other countries, especially since for half my life I just...accepted that we are totally better, cause, USA, right, but you have time to consider stuff as a person on economic parole, so I kind of hope that *isn't* true, even if it might make me feel all right for an instant.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Changing the tone here a little bit (a lotta bit?)

We had a lovely week -long visit from our grandson, 24. The last time we saw him he was 8. He's very tall, at least to us. His g'pa is 5'6. down from 5'8. His dad was 5'9 (I'm 5'1 and a fraction, down from 5'3) GS is 6'2". He's quick, witty, and as steeped in pop culture as his uncle and I are, so communication was instant and fun. He told us before he left that he hoped to make the visit a yearly thing. And he said soon after he got home that he was taking online business courses so he'd have "something to offer" when he *moved out here.* Yes, my heart went pittypat at the thought of having him closer, but mainly I'm overjoyed at him getting out of that backwater dead end town infested with KKK and other lacks of opportunity and scope.

So that's been fun. Also, David, I snuck up on a little shit fly that's been hiding in daylight and making us twitch at night watching tv when it flutters across the screen, or across our faces, attracted by the screen's reflection in our glasses. He (probably she) was basking in the sun on the window frame, half hidden by the blinds and didn't see me coming with my crumpled tissue. He made a satisfying scrunch, and his last traces got wiped off the window. Die, mofos!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Bev, that is so good to read! The cockles of my heart are all nicely warmed up

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

He sounds delightful, Beverly.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I had a family therapy session yesterday with Mr. S and his therapist. It was scheduled for 3:30. Due to horrible traffic on a couple of the roads I took to get there, I didn't make it to the facility until 4:45. I'm supposed to go back up there tomorrow to take Mr. S out for a few hours(Gary is away on business). I can only hope late morning Saturday traffic is much kinder than Thursday afternoon traffic.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Eight to 24 is a big jump! How wonderful, Bev!

Bwahahaha! For yours is an evil laugh, delighting in squish!

Our wings are not tired.

What a beautiful update, Bev!

I'm back home with my sister. This weekend is the Airshow so they closed A1A in front of the condo during the night. We can still U-turn-turn to get out to the dog park and store and such. I'll probably run and pick up my MIL prior to the show so she can visit with Mona too.
